OFFLINE | I'm sure many of you remember Mike (Allen) from Kansas. He had a bought with cancer awhile back.
His original post today:
Not a good day medically here @ Hecktic Acres. Temp 102.8, good white cells @ 1000, Hemaglobin dropped to 7. Awaiting a call from the cancer Dr. as to when & where I will be getting a transfusion. I'm also awaiting the knowledge of God's will ... he already knows what mine is.
Last post:
My Dr. called. Today's test came back good, tomorrow will be a CT scan with contrast to see if the cancer has returned with a vengeance ( I always knew that was a possibility). Will have another exam with the oncologist, and tentetively a 2 unit transfusion on Thurs. my Dr. commented that I continue to be a challenge for him. He called me from the ski slopes of Colo. ..... to me that is rare
I've met Mike, he's a great guy. So if you could say a little prayer that things continue to be OK..... |

 OFFLINE | Mike's latest results:
Preliminary reading of the C T scan shows lymph nodes are in good shape. Transfussion in on for tomorrow. Next test will be a bone marrow biopsy when the Dr. gets back to the office. I've had several of these, so I know what to expect ... discomfort !! Thanking God for the strength to endure today.

 OFFLINE | Need Prayers...Please!
A friend of mine's daughter (Kristin) was in a terrible auto accident on Christmas Day. It took 45 minutes to cut her out of the car.
She has fractured ribs, wedge fracture of her Thoratic Veretebrae, bleeding of the spleen but we are most worried about the Traumatic Brain injury.
Her Family has been by her side through the whole thing and has had lots of up's and down's.
Please Pray for Kristin.
Thank you! |

OFFLINE | Prayers for all those in need and I too ask that you include my friend's mother in your prayers.
Her mother has been ill for quite some time and on Friday my friend learned that her mother has cancer in the uterus. They don't know yet how far it's spread and on Friday night my friend was going to have to break the news to her mother.
I can't even imagine what my friend is going through let alone to learn this while at work and still stay at work to finish up the day.
I couldn't do it.....
So please include my friend's mother as well in your prayers.

asking for prayers for my Aunt Sarah and my Uncle Norm..... Sarah is in a bad way, strokes and kidney damage.... my Uncle Norm, whom I lovingly call my Uncle Fuzzy (the biggest most lovable Teddy Bear in the whole world) is really taking things hard. They lost their oldest son many years ago.... it's just breaking my heart to hear my uncle crying..... |

OFFLINE | I would like to ask for continue healing for my father. Last month he had surgery for lung cancer. He is doing good but can't go out for very long.
I would also ask for prayers for me and my family. I have an appointment next week myself, if it goes well then things will start looking up for my family and I. Thank you in advance. |

You got it!
When all is said and done.... this is the biggest most loving "extended family" in the world! I know there are many that are saying prayers, even if they don't put it "in writing"!
Big hugs! |

 OFFLINE | Update:
My father went out to the senior dances last week and was out on the dance floor. After he told his visiting nurse she said that he did not have to have her visiting any more. His next doctor's appointment is in 3 months. He is recovering faster now thank you.
As for me, I had my last appointment and now the decision is in the hands of bureaucrats. Please keep my family and I in your thoughts and prayers and that we can be approved.
Thank you. |

Still keeping your father in my prayers..and praying that you and your family do fine and are approved.... it's never easy to hear of people having difificulties....especially in the financial state that our nation is in.
Sending healing prayers to all those other friends/family members that need it... may you be comforted in knowing that we all are thinking of you and wishing you only the best! |
