These are some of the questions that we commonly receive from our guests following their thread vein treatments.

When can I go back to work?
Following your treatments, you will find that you are able to go back to work straight after your visit. We do however, highly recommend that you have a stress free day, and if possible take an afternoon off from work in order for your body to accept the treatment performed.
Should you have been treated for facial thread veins, there is a strong possibility you will have redness and some form of scabbing, therefore, taking a day off work will help your recovery.
For thread veins other than facial veins, we do thoroughly recommend putting your feet up and relaxing for the day so that you do not cause any inflammation or irritation to the substance injected into you.

How soon will my results be visible and how long will they last?
Results can be almost instant, in many cases, a guest having treatments on the body, or the legs, results are visible on the table, however, these can take up to 5 to 7 days to fully provide you with visible results.
For any facial thread veins, please allow up to 10 days for results to start to show through. This will allow for any redness and scabbing to filter out and then provide you with a clearer result from then on in.
How long results last will depend on how well your body has taken to the treatment. Your veins will improve from the area which has been treated; however, veins may reappear at a later stage or in another area, which will have been discussed with you during your consultation.

Will I have any redness?
There is always a change that redness will appear. Should you not have any redness, you are considered to be a lucky guest. The redness can last from 1 couple of days to 7 days, depending on how well your body recovers from the treatment.
To help with redness, there are products available, which will not only help with the redness but also help with your thread veins and help reduce them further.

When can I go back to exercise and Daily Routine?
Please be advised, post thread veins treatment, especially for treatments on the legs or body, exercise should be avoided for a minimum of two weeks, after which you are advised to contact us directly to be guided through the steps and precautions you need to take.

Do I have to take any extra precautions?
There are no additional precautions which you will need to take. Simply relax and follow all post treatment guidance from Castlefield Clinic & Spa, and most importantly your surgeon.

How long after can I fly?
Flying should be avoided for 3 to 4 weeks post treatment, and treatments should be avoided at least 4 weeks after your holiday.
Should you be planning a holiday, a 4 week gap is required as you skin tone has time to get back to your normal colour. If the skin is tanned, there are chances the treatments can leave white marks once the tanned skin gets back to normal.
Following your treatments, please allow for 3 to 4 weeks before flying, so that we can monitor your progress and also know that the treatment is working, before you shock the area either through staying on your feet too long, or staying out in the sun to long.

When should I come back for another appointment?
On average a guest requires 3 to 4 treatments to help with improving the thread veins, either on the body or the face.
We recommend 3 week gap between treatments, this allows you to see how the treatments are working, and also gives your body the best chance to recover, so that we are not over doing the treatments.
Your frequency will have been discussed with you during your consultation, should you have any questions, you can always contact us directly, and we will always be there to help you through your journey.

What can I use to enhance my results?
There are two fantastic products you should use following thread veins treatment. One of which you will have in abundance in your household if you go on holidays and the other being a medicated cream.
The medicated product, which would have again been discussed with you at consultation is Auriderm. This helps to heal your skin quicker, and also enhances the results of either facial veins or body veins, buy reducing the amount of redness.
The second is simply an SPF of 30 and above, which should be used for a minimum of two week post treatments especially for facial veins. This will help to protect your skin from any damage while it is healing from the treatment.
