Just got my January check.............. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

My health care jumped from 0 to 34 dollars. (ok, not a big jump and I know many of you pay much more)

and my federal taxes went up (is that the stimulus that's over?)

I make less than $1500 a month.... so an almost $70 cut hurts!

well.... last month my federal taxes were $166. this month $198. pretty sure 198 is a bigger chunk than 166.

Sometimes adults never cease to amaze me. I need a flashlight to do my job and I'm not issued one so I purchased a nice Snap-on Penlight model from Amazon. Well, it seems to be a big hit with my coworkers, only they (grown a$$ adults) like to play keep away games, so I stopped lending it out to them. And now they get pissed because I won't let them borrow it? That's just effin trifling to me :/

Talked to HR today.... there is a change in the tax tables for 2011.

No new taxes.... just a raise in the old ones.

Love the word games those in government play!

I ran some sample pay checks using the tax tables of 2009, 2010, and 2011, and the federal rates are slightly lower than they were in 2009, but higher than 2010.  But with the lower social security rate this year, most people will be taking home more money.  Has your company implemented that lower rate yet?
