 OFFLINE | Well, kidz, things have finally settled down and the jam is back on FRIDAY nights, 7-10, with this Friday the 30th being the kick off! I'll find a new tune for us for the start of the jam, and then we'll have the usual fun! As usual, bring a chair just in case...

OFFLINE | I went to the jam last night and had a good time with a good group of fiddlers. The jam is held in a private home and is held pretty much weekly. If you are interested in going it is a good idea to email the host listed in the first post, and get on her mailing list in case the jam is canceled.
The group was mostly fiddlers, with a bandjo and mando and the host, a fiddler that switch to guitar once in awhile to allow me to catch the chord changes quicker on the tunes that were new to me .. many of them .. not having an extensive background in old time fiddle tunes. They were quite forgiving of my stumbling around the tunes. Tried to keep it simple and on beat. |
