OFFLINE | I am not sure about whether i have the correct title but here is the question. I have a personal page so that I could build a non profit page. I really dont want people coming to my personal page instead I want them to come to the non profit page, is there a way that I can redirect them automatically to the non profit page?
Thank You |

OFFLINE | Automatic redirection would require HTML editing. Members of Facebook do not possess that ability. Is your personal page the only way of advertising your non-profit page? I noticed that you said you've created a personal profile so that you can build a non-profit page.
If you're referring to a Facebook group page, than you can do the following -
Edit Profile > Contact Information.
Take the URL of your non-profit page, and paste it where it says "Website:". When people view your personal page, they'll see the link and once clicked on, it will redirect them to your non-profit page. This still does not eliminate the fact that they'll be visiting your personal profile. Considering that would be their only means of getting to your page.
The Facebook profile you're posting with now, is a member profile. If you want "Share Kindness" to be your group page, it'll have to be an actual group made outside of your personal profile. You've pretty much done it backwards.
To fix this, you can remove all settings on your current profile and start fresh. Keep that as your personal profile.
To create your non-profit page, use the following -
Groups (found on the left-side of your Facebook "HOME") > Create Group (found at the top).
Doing this will allow you to create a group page, allowing people to post things directly related to what you're creating it for. If this is not what you're talking about, let me know. |

OFFLINE | Hi, I have a related question, I have a group page on face book which I would like to share on a blog that I run. Basically the group page is for people discussing movies, and some non-facebook members would like to be able to see the summary of that discussion without being on facebook. It is such a thing possible? I believe there are applications that will publish an active feed to a webpage? Any information gratefully received! |

OFFLINE | @Nick - I think I have an idea of what you're asking. The most efficient application for such a process would be Wordpress.
Wordpress - http://healyourchurchwebsite.com/2010/04/26/the-facebook-activity-widget-plugin-for-wordpress/
Sample view, and installation instructions are all on the website above. Is that what you're looking for? |
