Many people have called us recently asking us for information on Rhinoplasty (Nose Reshaping Surgery). After the procedure many key questions are always asked, so here are some answers that may help

Recovery Time
Normal recovery time after Rhinoplasty is between 7 to 14 days, this is provided the procedure is performed under local sedation or Twilight Sedation. Many people are able to get back to normal daily routine within 4 to 5 days, with some limitations, such as excessive bending, lifting and blowing your nose.

How long does the bandaging stay on?
With techniques used at Castlefield Clinic, the need for excessive bandaging after Rhinoplasty is eliminated, and the bandaging that is applied, usually stays on for up to 7 days.

How long should I take off work?
We all understand taking time off work is a big issue for everyone, however, normally it is recommended that 10 to 14 days is booked off work after Rhinoplasty to make sure everything is healed.

How long after the operation can one fly?
After Rhinoplasty, it is recommended that you do not fly for a minimum of 21 days, this is because the cabin pressure can cause any unhealed wounds to bleed.

Results
This is the big concern with everyone. People should be wary that results do not and cannot occur over night after Rhinoplasty. There are a number of factors that influence results, such as bruising and swelling.
After Surgery, results can be seen within 5 to 8 days; however, because of the nature of the operation, the overall result will continue to improve for a period of 4 months to 12months.
