Hello fellow parents of 1046!  We received our first real letter from our son yesterday.  He sounded in good spirits and said the platoon is doing well.  He said they are starting to work together.  We are from Indiana.  Anyone else counting the days to August 19?

Hello there!  I am not a parent but a wife of a recruit in 1046, we are also from Indiana.  I am counting down the days, 69 left until Family Day!

Hi Jessica!  Yes, we are defniately counting the days as well.  I am sure this is hard for you too.  Have you started receiving letters yet?  It made such a big difference for me to be hear our sons voice in his letters.  He sounded in good spirits and said things are going well.  How old is your husband?  Was this a decision that he had been thinking about for a long time?  Hang in there and I hope you have lots of support around you at home.  Anything we can help you with or if you just need to vent :0)
