To assist the relatives of overseas foreign workers (OFWs) affected by the situation in some countries in the Middle East and by the recent earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has set up a “Libreng Tawag" booth at the main office of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Pasay City.

Relatives of affected OFW’s can communicate with their loved ones for free from March 1-8, 2011 (9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.).

The free calls initiative is in cooperation with local telcos Globe Telecom, Digitel Phils. (Sun Cellular), and Smart Communications
