Wow. No offense, but I canot imagine how you got that out of that debate.
Even the Media has since talked about how well Michelle Bachman did. I thought she just sparkled in the debate, elevating herself to that of a Palin-like star. Smart lady. Bright, strong and a real patriot. And you thought she was flat and unimpressive? What does she need to do...put on a cape? I dont necessarily think shes onna win, but she did very well.
The media pundits also praised Gingrich. (Gee...I thought he was dead in the water?) Fact is...he is quite simply the smartest man in the field. I knew he'd impress once he got on the stage with the others. I'm telling ya...he is not done. He's finally off and running and was making the rounds and impressing on the nightly talk shows last night and the morning talk shows this morning.
Romney looked very presidential. Hes a front runner for a reason. I like him and was satisfied with his explanation of Romney care and it appears the media is as well. Plus, he's leading in the polls.
Herman Cain is very likeable and is strong on economics. But his answers regarding foriegn policy indicate a bit of weakness. He gets a blank stare at times and it tells me he doesn know as much about how to deal with Iran and the Middle east as he does about taxes and business. And while I dont expect him to know these things...it is telling. This is a danger signal one should take heed of. I worry about a man who doesnt know what the
right of return is.
Ron Paul acted like he was tripping on the LSD he wants to legalize. Incoherent most of the time. Stumbling, mumbling, arms flailing about...I was surprised he didnt go off spinning in circles and fall off the stage. That man is dangerous.
Steve Santorum imo did a fair job and didnt really hurt himself. Stuck to the GOP line and sad some really good things, but did not otherwise seperate himself from he group.
And Tim Pawlenty completely blew it with the question on 'Obamny Care'. Looked like a scared deer looking in the headlights when faced with the question with a grinning Romney standing beside him. I mean, he was outright intimidated and knew he was in trouble after those statements the other day.
I agree with the media pundits that Romney, Bachman and Gingrich were the top 3 in that group. They did the best this time around.

and on multiple occassions, the crowd began clapping, and he was like, "just remember that all the applause is cutting into your time with the candidates" it just made it entirely too contentious feeling as though it were a liberal v. conservative event. and they kept having these writers from a local liberal newspaper, asking liberally pointed questions, and i just didn't like it. especially king. i was yelling at him the entire night, because as the candidates were speaking, it was "mmhmm.....mmhmm.....mmhmmm.... just a reminder to keep your answers to 30 seconds." hell, i couldn't answer any of these important questions in 30 seconds!
Yep. Everyone is laughing today about CNN's debate and especially John King. I guess he was hurrying them up so he could ask his questions about
Coke or Pepsi...or
think or thick crust.. Or maybe to tell the viewes how to us their
smart Phones.
Just ask the questions and then shut up John!!! Geez.
BTW...it will be very interesting if another Conservative like Tx gov Rick Perry gets in and begins to run. Interesting that he made a brief 10 second cameo on Glenn Beck's show yesterday. And he's beginning to weigh in on the national issues like he is showing some interest. He could become Mitt Romney's biggest challenge if he got into the race.
