I've been working on an exciting songbook project... compiling ALL of the new songs we've acquired in 2011 into one "new additions book"! In fact, the project is soooo big i have yet to publish the new songs for june & july. but i promise, all are coming soon!

Our commitment to you:  If a song exists as a karaoke track, we will do everything in our pervue to acquire it for your singing pleasure. If it does not yet exist, we request manufacturers to consider producing particular tracks.

Not all songs will become karaoke tracks. Manufacturers pay big monies for licensing and sync rights to produce songs. Therefore, they must ensure that there will be enough of a market for the tracks they produce to cover the cost. Sometimes a track can cost as much as $30,000 for a manufacturer to obtain licensing for for both the music and lyric reproduction rights.

That being said, this is an exciting time for karaoke music given the opportunities to purchase individual tracks from various manufacturers around the world instead of having to import entire CD's as we've had to in the past.

Still, that doesn't make acquiring new tunes cheap. You see, in order to legally be allowed to copy our CDG's to computer, we must first own (and keep) the original disk and second, copy only one disk to one computer. Therefore, to have 3 libraries, it means we have to physically be in possession of all 3 disks that were transferred into the computer. It is neither legal nor ethical to purchase one disk and put it on 5 or 6 different harddrives.

In the case of digital media, again, the same concept applies. We have 3 libraries. In order to keep them all the same (or damn near same enough) we must purchase 3 copies of each song (unless the manufacturer makes other provisions).

Nope, ours is not an inexpensive industry. But man o man is it ever worth it to see your happy smiling faces light up like it's your birthday when we get that extra special song you've been wanting to sing.

So hang in there cats and kitties, giraffes and zebras, lions and tigers and bears... the new song list is surely gonna bring a smile to your face and a song into our hearts.
