Changed to build thread...

After owning a DC5 for my first Type-R the rest I have always compared to it.

The DC5 for me was great. Exclusive, practical and great to drive.
The EK9 was a great car to drive, was just a tad noisey on long journeys.
The EP3 was great as a everyday car but just lacked that little something.
But now... I have finally got myself a FD2.

To me it is all of the cars above mixed into one. Drivability of the EK9, exclusive like the DC5 and great to drive everyday like the EP3 (if not a little bouncy but thats a small price to pay)

Pic from when I first got it home

After a "Neil" clean...

Sprayed the plug and inlet manifold cover CW.
Don't know how but got a dog hair under the laquer...

Some Honda wind deflectors...

then manage to get a second hand Toda. Rather than pay £1300 from Japan

Then got a set of Rota Force's

Met up with another FD2-Owner. He was having some exhaust work done and we done some de-cat test fitting.

Fitted some Koni adjustable rear dampers. This is becoming a very popular mod to help with the bouncy ride in the FD2.

I didn't like how my Rota's sat. I think they were too wide.

Opted for a set of Rota GR6's. Only 8.1kg a wheel giving a 2.5kg saving each corner!

Also had the grill painted black to get rid of the nasty chrome.

No mate. I'm from the other side of Exeter to you.

Great car to drive. Handles superb.

Was very bouncy with the high dampening of the OEM shocks. Much better now fitted the koni's.

ive loved these since i seen them come out, but 25k is a high stretch haha, maybe some day, there much you can do to these? they k20's?? never properly looked around one before ill have a good butchers at the route 38 meet if your going. very tidy car, suspension is always better with aftermarket shocks, im currently on standard shocks, coilover springs with adjusters, not the best but cheap to start of with. you import your fd2 or was it already over here?

Only 25k if you want to import yourself. They are still expensive but can be bought for around 13K from UK owner.

They use the K20. The only bad thing (kind of) is theres not much to modify apart from the cat back.

Has a RRC inlet manifold with larger 68mm TB. Friend has fitted Toda Manifold but noticed little gains after a map.
It seems Honda really done there homework with this car.
