Ronald Chand Let me say it again. If you read the Bible without preconceived ideas about proving a point then it's not going to work. You have to study it for what it says. Jesus is Christ. You can not separate that. I did quote Joel 3:1-8 earlier where we read that the Messiah (Christ) will be on Israel's side.
Don't worry there's room for more:
The Messenger of God said: "The Mahdi is of my lineage, with a high forehead and a long, thin, curved nose. He will fill the earth with fairness and justice as it was filled with oppression and injustice, and he will rule for seven years.[1]
Now look at a Biblical verse from Daniel 9:27 KJV ~ And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”
Here the word "week" in the Hebrew means "seven" just like when we say a decade it means ten years. Similarly here a week means seven years. To compliment this, other places in the Bible this period is further broken down into two three and half year periods to highlight other prophecies that will unfold then.
In conclusion, the Jewish Messiah is coming and there are more prophecies regarding the End Times than there are chapters in the Quran. But, there is another person who will surface who will be known as the Antichrist. Extensive research in this area has revealed one thing, that whatever the Islamic scriptures and tradition reveal about the Mahdi, is parallel to the description of the Antichrist of the Bible, and the Quranic Dajjal lines up with the Messiah of the Bible!! Do your own research and you will be surprised. Try to understand the "whole" schema of events before drawing a conclusion. Do not read the Bible to find faults because there aren't any. Read it to learn for what it is. It is a plan to save humanity from the consequence it's sins.
Do not forget that when Christ comes, He WON'T be a Muslim!! He was a Jew and will come back as one. He is a Jewish Messiah and a Jewish King who will rule and reign from Jerusalem.

Azhar Mohd this article clearly shows your lack of understanding of the Quran and arabic language- Please learn more before you try to preach - Do you know what the term "Mahdi" means in arabic? I dont think you do!
It means the guided one, if you read the translation which you have deliberately left out for every ayat you have quoted above it tells us that Isa AS was the guided one - But in the hadith and in the Quran on numerous occassions as I have quoted to you before Allah swt and Nabi SAW tell us the Madhi (the guided one) will come before end of time!
This are two different uses of the term Mahdi! Please get your facts rights and stop misleading others! Mahdi does not mean christ or messiah ! stop lying and making things out of thin air ! Mahdi simply means the guided one! it is merely a description! In grammar terms it is an adjective!

Ronald Chand @Abdul Khalil, Could you please differentiate between the Mahdi, Dajjal, Isa al-Masih from the Quran and Antichrist, False Prophet and Jesus Christ the returning Messiah from the Bible?? Please just don't only copy paste verses but give some explanation. At the moment you are just uploading posters with no solid backup. Anyone from the Muslim community could debunk your claims, leave aside someone who knows the Bible. The burden of proof is on you since you are stepping out of the mainstream understanding of each religion.
Lets have some educated discussion not exercising any bush lawyer skills to only win arguments. People want to learn. Every post or comment should respect that.
PS>. All these individuals have been addressed separately in the Bible and Quran.
PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD ANYMORE POSTERS UNLESS SOME NEW INFORMATION CAN BE CONTRIBUTED TO THE DISCUSSION.

DjNadeem Paash @Abdul Khalil. I agree with Ronald Chand. Please answer some of the questions put forward by members here instead of uploading any more posters. And also don't tag those people who are not interested for discussion on this topic. Should we make a new group and invited those who wants to join and give their imputs.

Farook Ali Imaam Mahdi and Hazrat Eesa alaihimas salaam are two different persons. They are not one. He (Mahdi) will be from the family of Faatimah Zuhra and his name will actually be Muhammad. This guy AAKARIM is misguided by his own understanding of Allah's Kalaam. DO NOT FOLLOW HIM. He has picked the words "mahdi" from the verses of the Qu'raan and took it as Imaam Mahdi. He does not know that the name of Imaam Mahdi in arabic ends with the arabic letter 'ya'.

Ronald Chand Quote: [Hi Ron, be patient, i think your are rushing and you want all answers one go and straight away. I am not in rush. You have asked me 8 questions in one message. Bro you know i have to earn for my bread first, i have to attend parties, meet friends, have time with families, create some thing new, answer peoples calls, read and read, pray on time, and many more things].
Fair enough....take your time. It will be good to know what the contexts of your theories are because currently, they are just verses hanging in the air without any interconnection or real direction. Before asking you to write about your beliefs in a slightly more detail, I read through website http://imammahdikarim.com, where you have stated spending "22 years" to arrive to your truth!! So it shouldn't take too long. In other words, I thought you knew what you were talking about since your axioms are heavily based on the knowledge of the Mahdi, Dajjal, Isa al-Masih from the Quran and Antichrist, False Prophet and Jesus Christ the returning Messiah from the Bible.
Quote: [...you can't command me to not put any posters on facebook or any where. as i can't stop you not to do some thing which you like].
No, I can’t stop you from uploading posters. I know you are using it as your evangelistic tool but you have to provide sensible answers to people who are willing to listen to your claims with respect and love. I am one of them.
Quote: [I am uneducated person and can't type very fast, I can't give you answers like you have in your brain. I will try to express my thoughts to you]
Do not think that your level of education has a part to play in making a truth claim which can be backed by reason and substantiation. There’s no discrimination towards that. We are all learning. But in today’s world, the art of articulation of one’s point of view, reason and evidence has a huge bearing on it being accepted. Even the THEORY of evolution without any evidence or reason has taken off because some very articulate people ran with it!! It’s just the nature of the beast. Our present day society wants information presented in a systematic manner.
You can also talk to me in person if you find it hard too difficult to write things down but then your followers on Facebook will be missing out on your teaching. Alternatively, you can find someone else to write for you.
Quote: [So you said some one wants to learn, that's fine there are many scholars ask to teach them I am not the right person to learn from..... I will try to express my thoughts to you. Let others decide, if they are not happy they can ask some one else]
If you say that you "are not the right person to learn from" and "there are many scholars", then why are you doing a massive advertisement on facebook and your website to mislead your fellow brethren??
Anyway, we would like to give you an audience to present your case because we live in a free society and everyone is entitled to air their views... atleast do it with reason and evidence.

Abdul Khalil Very nice, at least u know some thing, you are very very correct that Imam Mahdi and Isa (as) is two different person,I 100% agree with you, but what I have written on poster is that Mahdi is written for Christ or Messiah. Two different Quran states that way read in my poster. Did my dad wrote or I have changed it in the Quran. If any one say Prophet Jesus is Mahdi then he or she miss understood it or they are wrong.I am saying that the Title Kalik, Messiah, Christ and Mahdi is one person not 4 .Why some one say "Ya" after Mahdi ? Where in in Quran it say's ?

Asgar Ali Imam Mahdi and Jesus Christ are two different personalities. Jesus Christ was a messenger of Allah and he was lifted up to heaven. He is still alive and will come down to earth towards the end of the world. Imam Mahdi hasnt been born yet. He will also come in the final days. These two people will fight Ad-dajjaal. If anyone says that Imam Mahdi and Jesus Christ are one and same person, he is either ignorant or a non-Muslim.

Asgar Ali Since the very time of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) down to this present age, it has always been the unanimous (Ijmaa-ee) belief of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah (the Followers of the Four Math-habs) that Imaam Mahdi (alayhis salaam) will appear during the last of ages, namely, during the age when Hadhrat Nabi Isaa (alayhis salaam! and Dajjaal will make their appearance.
The Shiahs subscribe to a concocted and baseless view regarding Imaam Mahdi (alayhis salaam). They believe that at the age of five or six years in the fifth century, Imaam Mahdi disappeared with the origi- nal Qur'aan and is until this day hibernating in a cave in concealment and fear. He will appear according to their baseless concoction, during the final era of this world and exhume the bodies of Hadnrat Abu Bakr, Hadhrat Umar and Hadhrat Aishah (radhiyallahu anhum) and punish them severely after having restored them to life.
In these days, modernists—or some deviant modernists — have cast aspersions on the authentic ahadith which report and establish beyond any vestige of doubt the Ahlus Sunnah's belief regarding the advent of Imaam Mahdi (alayhis salaam). All authorities of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah —of former and later times—unanimously proclaim the correctness of the belief regarding Imaam Mahdi (alayhis salaam).
These modernists rejecting the belief regarding Imaam Mahdi (alayhis salaam) endeavour to create doubts in the minds of unwary and igno- rant Muslims. These miscreants usually are those deviates who are averse to the Four Math-habs. But, their views are baatil —having no validity in the Shariah.
The narrations which establish the belief of the Ahlus Sunnah regard- ing Imaam Mahdi (alayhis salaam) are of the Mutawaatir category. This is the highest category of Ahadith which have the force of Qur'aanic aayaat. There is no compromise on this belief.
Those who deny this authentic belief expose themselves to kufr.
Haafiz Ibn Katheer and belief in Mahdi
Haafiz Ibn Katheer (rahmatullahi alayh) states in Al-Fitan Wal Malaa- him, under the chapter Thikrul Mahdi Allazi Yakunu Fi Aakhiriz Zamaan (Mention of that Mahdi who will emerge in the final era), that the Mahdi of the final era will be from amongst the Khulafaa-e- Raashideen and Aimmah-e-Mahdiyeen. He states that the Mahdi of the final era is not that Mahdi which the Rawaafidh/Shias are awaiting. Their belief is based, not on any reliable information, but rather on concocted and spurious narrations. It will not be the Muhammad Ibn Hasan Al-Askari who according to them was born in 255 A.H. and who at the age of five miraculously disappeared, until the present day.
We are speaking here of that Mahdi who is described in the Ahaadith of Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). He will be born in the final era, in close proximity to Qiyaamah. Ibn Katheer (rahmatullahi alayh) states that his view is that this Mahdi will appear just before the de- scension of Hadhrat Isa (alaihis salaam).
Also the narration of Hadhrat Ali (radhiyallahu anhu) which states that it is he (Imaam Mahdi - alaihis salaam) who will be born from the progeny of his son, Hadhrat Hasan (radhiyallahu anhu) and whose name will be like that of our Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and his father’s name will be like that of Nabi’s (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) father’s name.
Ibn Katheer (rahmatullahi alayh) also indicates towards the fact that it does not refer to anyone from the Bani Abbaas, from the previous eras. He has also stated that the Imaam Mahdi (alaihis salaam) will be born after the reign of the Bani Abbaas and that he will be from the progeny of Hadhrat Faatimah (radhiyallahu anha). He has also indicated clearly that Imaam Mahdi (alaihis salaam) will be from the offspring of Hadhrat Hasan (radhiyallahu anhu) and not Hadhrat Hussein
(radhiyallahu anhu), as is clearly borne out by the narration of Hadhrat Ali (radhiyallahu anhu).
Ibn Katheer (rahmatullahi alayh) narrates a Hadith from Ibn Majah, that Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, “Three persons will fight at your treasure (The Kaabah). They will be the sons of the Khulafaa. They will not even come near one another when black flags will be raised from the east. They will come to fight you, such a fight that has never been witnessed before.” The narrator says that Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said something further which he cannot remember. Then Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, “When you see it (this army), then you should take ba`it to him, even though you have to trav- erse ice to get to him, because he is the Khalifah Mahdi.”
Ibn Majah is alone in reporting this Hadith but the chain of narrators are reliable and authentic.

Asgar Ali Ronald Chand, I dont regard today's Bible as God's words because there are tons of errors in it. For this reason it has to be revised every so often. Please quote anything else but the Bible. Just one example: Jesus, who does not have a father, is given two genealogies in the Bible; how ridiculous!? Another one: Can someone fight with God and win? There is an anecdote in the Bible which proves this. I will give the reference on request. U seem to know the Bioble too well.

Imam Mahdi is 12th Khalifa of Islam, if he is born hundreds of years from now then how he will be the 12th Khalifa of Islam. You said Dajjal and Isa Nabi (as) will make their appearance. Ok Janab if they make their appearance then how you gona recognise them, not only you how the people of the world will recognise them because no one has seen them.Even those Christians are alive now how they gona recognise, what are their signs and how they gona look like. please explain ?

Farook Ali What kind of a muslim are you? The Qur'aan is clear on Isa alaihis salaam. Don't you believe it? Let the christians say what they say about Isa alaihis salaam. We have our Qur'aan to guide us. Even the christian idea of Isa alaihis salaam has been challenged and falsified. What world are you in? You should go to a sunni aalim to get your brain done. All the signs of their (Isa and Mahdi) are mentioned in the books of ahadeeth and when they appear people will recognise them. A hadeeth for you to check on: "KAIFA TAHLIKU UMMATI ANA FEE AWWALIHA WA ISA IBNI MARYAMA FEE AAKHIRIHA WAL MAHDI MIN AHLI BAITI FEE WASTIHA". Go to an Aalime Deen for further explanation of this hadeeth. It tells you about 3 different persons. You are in khasaara by your own understandings. You need a sunni Ustaad.

Ronald Chand Faiza Ali Mahdi ~ (Arabic: “divinely guided one”), in Islāmic eschatology, a messianic deliverer who will fill the Earth with justice and equity, restore true religion, and usher in a short golden age lasting seven, eight, or nine years before the end of the world. The Qurʾān (Islāmic sacred scriptures) does not mention him, and almost no reliable ḥadīth (saying attributed to the Prophet Muḥammad) concerning the mahdī can be adduced.
Belief in the mahdī has tended to receive new emphasis in every time of crisis. Thus, after the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa (1212), when most of Spain was lost for Islām, Spanish Muslims circulated traditions ascribed to the Prophet foretelling a reconquest of Spain by the mahdī. During the Napoleonic invasion of Egypt, a person claiming to be the mahdī appeared briefly in Lower Egypt.
Because the mahdī is seen as a restorer of the political power and religious purity of Islām, the title has tended to be claimed by social revolutionaries in Islāmic society. North Africa in particular has seen a number of self-styled mahdīs, most important of these being ʿUbayd Allāh, founder of the Fāṭimid dynasty (909); Muḥammad ibn Tūmart, founder of the Almohad movement in Morocco in the 12th century; and Muḥammad Aḥmad, the mahdī of the Sudan who, in 1881, revolted against the Egyptian administration.
Whoever claims this role falsely, has alot to answer. And to put two and two together according to Islamic view (Bible says totally opposite), this guy will rule for seven years before the end of the world. So if in your local neighbourhood someone is claiming to be the mahdi for more than seven years, do not be deceived. If this mahdi is dead before the world is gone then it's begs the question whether he was a genuine in the first place.
Biblical View
I must now highlight that Yeshua (Jesus of the Bible) is prophesied to come after this seven year reign of the Antichrist (Mahdi) [Dan 9;27] to cleanse the earth. He will get rid of evil and locking [Rev 20:1-3] Satan up with his followers and thus establishing His millennial reign [Rev 20:4-6] making a Earth a temporary paradise. After this, Satan and his demons will be loosened [Rev 20:7-10] to tempt people. He gathers a majority to fight against the Yeshua the King. Yeshua will destroy Him by the Word of His Mouth alone [Rev19:21]!! No competition there!!
Then, will come The Great White Throne Judgement [Rev 20:11-15]. Everyone who hasn't accepted Yeshua as their personal Saviour while still alive will be judged. All who are guilty, Satan and his demons will be cast into the Hell and then Hell itself will be cast into the Lake of Fire. [Rev 20:14]
Then, a New Heaven and New Earth will created. The Heavenly City of New Jerusalem will descend and will dwell on Earth... [Rev 21]
This is a VERY BRIEF account of things to come from the Bible...

Quote: [Ronald Chand, I dont regard today's Bible as God's words because there are tons of errors in it. For this reason it has to be revised every so often.]
I do not believe that the Earth is round. Does this statement change the shape of the earth?? No matter how loud or hard I jump up and down while shouting this, it does not change the characteristic of the earth even one tiny bit. So you are saying that you don't believe the Bible is God's Word, I guess you are smart enough to deduce the rest...
Bible having tons of errors is news to me. So, could you enlighten me in the following ways:
Out of these tons (1000s) of errors, could you list as little as a tenth of them? Mathematically that'll be a hundred. When listing these, also notate what they ought to be.
Revision so often of scripture is news to me as well. If this is done every so often, could you please provide some evidence of the last five updates. Please include atleast 20 errors of each update that were rectified, since the Bible has tons of them. Include references, dates, and names of the editors.
Do not use the help of the Qur'an because it is a bit old to know of these "latest” errors that have been rectified.
Muslims claim, that the many different translations of the English Bible will render a single text with many different words and phrases. They say this is proof the Bible is corrupted and that the Koran reads exactly the same way everywhere in the world in Arabic. Since the many English translations of the Koran also render a single text with many different words, does that proof that the Koran is corrupted?
Muslims authorities refuse to release photographs of the ancient Topkapi manuscript in Istanbul, one of the three oldest Korans in existence. So, do you have any idea why Muslim authorities refuse to release documentary photographs of the Topkapi manuscript in Istanbul and what they are afraid for the world to see?
The belief that the Bible is corrupt, contains errors and has been superseded is a myth just like Big Foot and Mermaids. If you honestly don't want to be left in the dark, do an intensive research on the Dead Sea Scrolls and dig into the Hebrew and Greek with Lexicons as language aids. Or better still just pick up an English Bible and read to learn about what it says than to find faults.
Quote: [Please quote anything else but the Bible.]
I could say that same thing about the Quran because I do not believe it. But, we want rationality in our discussions. I have already written this but will do it again just for you.
Lets throw out all our personal preferences and beliefs aside; subjecting Quran and Bible to same level of evidential scrutiny. Suppose, you are the jury in a trial in the year 3000 AD to solve a case regarding the authenticity of the 2010 Christchurch Quake . You are presented with two exhibits. Exhibit A: 2010's current day, first hand, eyewitness accounts of the Quake. All journals, commentaries, newspaper articles etc from 2010. Exhibit B: An account of a writer who lives in 2700 AD. His personal opinions on what happened in 2010 Quake. What exhibit are you going to uphold? The Bible and Quran claim to authenticate same events. The Bible is eyewitness account and Quran was complied seven centuries later. Plus the Quran acknowledges the presence of Jewish and Christian scriptures but why do Muslims not refer to those for clarification purposes? They say that Quran supersedes the Bible. Well lets look at these verses from the Qur'an closely...
Sura 35:31:
"That which We have revealed to you of the Book is the truth, attesting to (the truth of) that which IS between his (its) hands (the Torah and Gospel)..."
Sura 10:37:
"This Quran is not such as can be produced by other than God; but it is a verification of that (the Torah and Gospel) which IS between his (its) hands, and the explanation of the Book, WHEREIN THERE IS NO DOUBT, from the Lord of the worlds."
Sura 6:154-157:
"Then We gave Moses the Book, complete as to whatever is excellent, and explaining all things in detail, and a guide and a mercy, that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord. And this (the Quran) is a Book which We have revealed, blessed: so follow it and be righteous, that you may receive mercy: lest you should say, 'The Book was sent down to two peoples before us, and for our part, we remained unacquainted with all that they learned by assiduous study; or lest you should say: `If the Book (the Torah and Gospel) had only been sent down to us, we should have followed its guidance better than they.'"
Sura 46:12:
"And before this was the Book of Moses as a guide and a mercy: and this Book is a verification (of it) in the Arabic tongue to warn those who transgress and as glad tidings to the righteous."
Sura 26:192-197:
"And lo! It is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, which the True Spirit hath brought down upon thy heart, that thou mayest be (one) of the warners, In Plain Arabic Speech. And lo! It is in the Scriptures of the men of old. Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the children of Israel know it?"
The original New Testament ("Gospel" ) is a revelation of God (5:46,67, 69, 71).
Jesus was a prophet and his words should be believed by Muslims(4:171; 5:78). As the Muslim scholar Mufassir notes, "Muslims believe all prophets to be truthful because they are commissioned in the service of humanity by Almighty God (Allah)."
Christians were obligated to accept the New Testament of Muhammad's day (seventh century A.D., 10:94).
I have clearly shown you some verses that indicate the authenticity of Christian scriptures during Mohammed's day. But if you still manage to quote a verse from Quran saying otherwise, then won't the it be a contradiction? Can Quran tell you to do something and immediately go against it? Enlighten me...
I wonder if Mohammed read the scriptures that were around that in Revelation 22:18-19 it says, "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."
Just to put things into perspective, Mohammed was an illiterate "unlettered prophet" (7:157) who authored the Quraan but the 66 books of the Bible were written by 40 different men over a period of 1600 years with multiple threads of unified themes that span cover to cover. Would you not agree that in contrast to the Bible, that the Qur'an is a jumble of disjointed material, without order, continuity or unity of any kind?

Quote: [Jesus, who does not have a father, is given two genealogies in the Bible; how ridiculous!!]
If you die tomorrow and some generations later, someone writes your genealogy. Taking into account your both parents, how many genealogies will you have?? If you have only one, where both your parents come from the same parents then there's a serious problem. Please read the Bible atleast before posing a question. Matthew chapter 1 is account Yeshua's (Jesus) lineage from his father's side and Luke 3:23 details it from His mum's side. During Yeshua's time, everyone had to be known by their Dad's name or atleast addressed as the son of someone. We all know that He was conceived by Divine intervention but Joseph's lineage is important is because Christ was supposed to a "Son of David" (Mark 10:47) (ie. from his lineage) and Joseph met the requirements. To fool proof this prophecy even Mary was from David's lineage. Joseph was from King Solomon's lineage and Mary from his brother Nathan's where both of them were King David's son.
To make it even clear, the lineage of Christ is outlined even explicitly in John 1:1-4 where it says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. This verse refers to pre-existence of Christ prior to anything.
So two the genealogies, via David, fulfils the Messianic prophecy incorporating both parents and John 1:1-4 highlights His Divinity prior to existence of time.
Quote: [Another one: Can someone fight with God and win? There is an anecdote in the Bible which proves this. I will give the reference on request. U seem to know the Bioble too well.]
Are you talking about where Jacob wrestles? Gen 32:22-31? If so, please re read and pose a sound question in context.
Mr Asgar, the reason behind this discussion is to learn about each others point of view. I quite respect what Mr Khalil believes and am interested to know how he arrives at his conclusion in a sound manner. My major interest in this matter is how and why he utilises Biblical verses to substantiate his claims. I am not an Islamophobic nor do I intend to be one. The point to consider is that if all Muslim's must reject the crucifixion of Christ based on the Koran and all Christians must reject Muhammad as a prophet based on the Bible, then on exactly what basis do Muslims believe Christianity and Islam are compatible religions?
Please do understand that this is NOT a dogfight but an intellectual discussion. If you want to enquire about the authenticity of the Bible then ask an intelligent question. Do NOT commit a red herring by airing random paradoxes. In fact you have your Quran and I have my Bible which offer different views so the smart thing to do is atleast let logic and evidence govern these discussions otherwise we are all wasting time here.
Bottom line for me is 1 Pet 3:15... Thanks...

Ronald Chand Abdul Khalil Quote: [Oh about Yeshua, yes I know Yeshua as Al mighty God in Bible , but Jesus was given that name, Christians thought he is God so they gave that name. Jesus Mother n father did not gave that name, they named him as Emmanuel so far I know.]
"Jesus" is a transliteration, occurring in a number of languages and based on the Latin Iesus, of the Greek Ἰησοῦς (Iēsoûs), itself a hellenization of the Aramaic/Hebrew ישוע (Yēšûă‘) which is a post-Exilic modification of the Hebrew יְהוֹשֻׁעַ (Yĕhōšuă‘, Joshua) under influence from Aramaic.[1][2] In the Quran, it is عيسى.[3][4]
The etymology of the name Jesus in the context of the New Testament is generally expressed as "Yahweh saves",[5][6][7] "Yahweh is salvation"[8][9][10] The name Jesus appears to have been in use in Judaea at the time of the birth of Jesus.[11][12] The first century works of historian Flavius Josephus refer to at least twenty different people with the name Jesus.[13] Philo's reference (Mutatione Nominumitem 121) indicates that the etymology of the name Joshua was known outside Judaea at the time.[14]
In the New Testament, in Luke 1:26-33, the angel Gabriel tells Mary to name her child "Jesus", and in Matthew 1:21 an angel tells Joseph to name the child "Jesus". The statement in Matthew 1:21 "you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins" associates salvific attributes to the name Jesus in Christian theology.[15][16]
"Christ" is derived from the Greek Χριστός (Khrīstos), meaning "the anointed" or "the anointed one", a translation of the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַ (Māšîaḥ), usually transliterated into English as "Messiah".[17][18] In the Septuagint version of the Hebrew Bible (written well over a century before the time of Jesus), the word "Christ" (Χριστός) was used to translate the Hebrew word "Messiah" (מָשִׁיחַ) into Greek.[19] In Matthew 16:16, the Apostle Peter's profession "You are the Christ" identifies Jesus as the Messiah.[20] In postbiblical usage, "Christ" became viewed as a name, one part of "Jesus Christ", but originally it was a title ("Jesus the Anointed" ).[21][22][23]
In Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah declared, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel." In Matthew 1:22-23 we read, "All this took place to fulfil what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' which means, 'God with us.'"
There are many names given to Jesus using the phrase “He shall be called" in the Bible. This was a common way of saying that people would refer to Him in these various ways. For example, Isaiah said, “His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). None of these titles was Jesus’ actual name, but these were descriptions people would use to refer to him.
In the same way, to say that Jesus would be called "Immanuel" means Jesus is God and that He dwelt among us in his incarnation. Jesus was God in the flesh. Jesus was God making His dwelling among us (John 1:1,14). Immanuel is one of the many titles for Jesus, a description of who he is. And the name in “Jesus” in the original Hebraic language is “Yeshua.” This is the reason why I always refer to him as Yeshua in the posts, because when I address Him I don’t want you to mistake Him for the Muslim Jesus “Yasu' al-Masih (يسوع المسيح ) or Isa al-Masih”

DjNadeem Paash First, it is doubtful that Muhammad was illiterate. Recall that when he was being raised by his uncle, he traveled as a merchant, delivering supplies to various communities. He also traveled extensively with his first wife Khadijah, who hired him to help her with her trade business. Surely there must have been some sort of written record kept to document these transactions. The merchant trade cannot exist without written records of what and how much was shipped to whom.
Second, Muhammad’s illiteracy is irrelevant to the question of the existence of the Qur’an. Muhammad did not write the Qur’an; he recited it. Others wrote down what Muhammad recited, as the Qur’an was complied over several years. The Qur’an would have been written whether Muhammad could or could not read and write, so the argument is irrelevant.
Third, recent scholars have shown that the Arabic word ummi , translated as “illiterate,” does not mean illiterate, but rather means "one who has no book", or those who did not have a book revealed by God (sura 62:2) Thus, the Qur’an was revealed, not to an illiterate prophet, but to a prophet and people who did not have their own book revealed by God.
Sura 62:2 – It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered an apostle from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom, - although they had been, before, in manifest error…
Fourth, the hadith includes numerous accounts of Muhammad writing.
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Once the Prophet wrote a letter or had an idea of writing a letter. The Prophet was told that they (rulers) would not read letters unless they were sealed. So the Prophet got a silver ring made with "Muhammad Allah's Apostle" engraved on it. As if I were just observing its white glitter in the hand of the Prophet… (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 3, Number 65)
Narrated 'Ursa:
The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death). (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 88)
Narrated 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah:
Ibn 'Abbas said, "When the ailment of the Prophet became worse, he said, 'Bring for me (writing) paper and I will write for you a statement after which you will not go astray.' But 'Umar said, 'The Prophet is seriously ill, and we have got Allah's Book with us and that is sufficient for us.' But the companions of the Prophet differed about this and there was a hue and cry. On that the Prophet said to them, 'Go away (and leave me alone). It is not right that you should quarrel in front of me." Ibn 'Abbas came out saying, ""It was most unfortunate (a great disaster) that Allah's Apostle was prevented from writing that statement for them because of their disagreement and noise. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 3, Number 114)
Thus, the claim that Muhammad was illiterate does not stand up. Moreover, it is irrelevant.

Quote: [Mate read all the prophecies about the ending time and read n understand all the signs of this ending time what is happening now is sign of 3rd world war. Its all in the Bible Holy book.]
Let me say again, please DO NOT make vague statements. Back it up with some verse so I can genuinely answer your question. Trust me, I want to help you. There’s no mention of World War Three in the Bible unless you have some intelligence from Hamas or Al-Qaeda..
But if you are saying all the riots, Embassies being blown up, tension is Middle East and suicide bombers are leading up to World War Three then, there could be some validity in that statement. The Bible does say “wars and rumours of wars” in Matthew 24:6.
The final war between most likely between Yeshua and the Antichrist is known as The Battle of Armageddon found in Revelation 16:16.
Quote: [About the sins, we are here to make sins and then ask for forgiveness, but we don't know we are forgiven or not.]
Where have you got this from? Any references? Surely not from the Bible! Do you understand the Christ concept of Salvation? If don’t, please look it up in the Bible. Do not make baseless assertions. You can't keep sinning intentionally and expect God to forgive you! Do you think He is a fool? In Christ, you have assured security after you die because your sins are already forgiven! "I write these things to you WHO BELIEVE IN THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD, so that YOU MAY KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE (1 John 5:13).
The Word of God is God’s witness to the believer (1 John 5:11-13). The Greek text includes the article with the word “life.” Salvation in Christ is not just the gift of life, but of “the life,” the one which comes only through faith in God’s unique Son. The clear declaration of Scripture is that the one who believes in Christ’s person and work on the cross as God’s provision for his sins has:
(1) Eternal life.
John 3:36 The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath remains on him.
1 John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life. I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
(2) Forgiveness of all sin.
Acts 10:43 About him all the prophets testify, that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
Colossians 2:13 And even though you were dead in your transgressions and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he nevertheless made you alive with him, having forgiven all your transgressions.
(3) Freedom from condemnation.
John 5:24 “I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
(4) Justification (declared righteous by God).
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Romans 4:1-6 What then shall we say that Abraham, our ancestor according to the flesh, has discovered regarding this matter? For if Abraham was declared righteous by the works of the law, he has something to boast about—but not before God. For what does the scripture say? “ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation. But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness. So even David himself speaks regarding the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
Romans 4:25 He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification.
(5) Salvation.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast.
(6) A child of God by faith.
John 1:12 But to all who have received him—those who believe in his name—he has given the right to become God’s children.
Romans 8:14-17 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children. And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)—if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.

Ronald Chand @Abdul Khalil cont'd
The Work of Christ
To properly understand the work of Christ (Christ’s substitutionary death, dying in our place and bearing our sins on the cross) is another vital need tremendously important to assurance. This too, of course, is based on the statements of Scripture, but the emphasis is on understanding the sufficiency, finished nature, and accomplishments of the death of Christ. There are two prominent aspects here which Scripture emphatically teaches:
(1) Salvation is not by our works or merit (cf. Rom. 4:1-7 above).
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast.
Titus 3:5-7 He saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us in full measure through Jesus Christ our Savior. And so, since we have been justified by his grace, we become heirs with the confident expectation of eternal life.”
(2) Salvation is solely by Christ’s person and work as a gift of God.
1 John 5:5-12 Now who is the person who has conquered the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? Jesus Christ is the one who came by water and blood—not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify, the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement. If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, because this is the testimony of God that he has testified concerning his Son. (The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.) And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.
Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.
Philippians 3:8-9 More than that, I now regard all things as liabilities compared to the far greater value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things—indeed, I regard them as dung!—that I may gain Christ, 9 and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness—a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.
Quote: [If I wholly and fully believe in Jesus (p) will I be saved when the bomb fell on my head by the wicked people].
This question assumes two things. First, that you are a follower of Christ, a faithful steward. Second, you are worried about your earthly security.
It is pretty simple, if you die now, I'll end up with Christ today. Infact, it's the best place for a believer to be. (Philippians 1:23 "I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better." )
Just the thought of dying is pretty scary in today's world. You'd be worried about possessions and families etc but Christ assures you eternal life and says for us to collect treasures in Heaven by being faithful stewards. Matthew 6:20 "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal."
Your family who have chosen to follow Christ will meet up with you eventually anyway. That's the one of the reasons why Christians around the world are not afraid of sharing the Gospel at the expense of their lives. You will find more information here http://www.persecution.com/. Sadly, alot of these persecutions are from Islamic countries but gladly the conversion rate of Muslims are amazingly high!!
On the contrary, if "the wicked people are dropping bombs on your head" and you are not a Christian, then you better make friends with all these "wicked people in the world who are bombing places up."
Hope this answers your question...thanks..

Ronald Chand DjNadeem Paash Thanks for shedding light on this subject. It does make sense what you said. But since existence of the Quran, the unlettered or "ummi" concept is a major contributor in the argument of the divine nature of the Quran. The use notion was that, "Only Allah could provide a perfect book through an unlettered prophet. The illiteracy of Mohammed is one of the contributing proof that the Quran was divinely given." I am not questioning it divinity, but if you take "ummi" away then opponents could argue that Mohammed just wrote it himself. They could pull out conflicting verses from the Quran to further substantiate their claims. Plus, Mohammed didn't write the Quran, he only recited it. Try, looking up "Amanuensis." These were educated servants who basically were secretaries to their masters. Zaid ibn Thabit was Mohammed's chief amanuensis who could have done the writing and the merchantly calculations etc.. Just something to ponder...
The issue is, us humans, when created were given a reasoning ability to differentiate between things that make sense and things that don't. This is a major milestone all religions face when getting younger people into having a well thought theistic belief. Basically, logic and reason is to the mind what senses are to the body. Our senses help us to differentiate between fresh and stale food. Aroma or odour etc. So when logic and reason are not upheld in a discussion, it's like blocking someone's nose and serving them stale food. This is clearly wrong. We wouldn't do it to our families or friends!
Lets apply this concept to logic. Imagine giving someone a document to believe without letting them fully dissect it using logic, reason and evidence. They wouldn't even sign the it without reading and making sense of it first! Should we do this to anyone? Clearly, this is not ethical. If you do it anyhow, you end with a bunch of people who are brainwashed not able and basically puppets.
You see, the approach of the Quran and Bible when it comes to investigation of claims has been quite different, infact clearly opposite.
Quran
It can not be scrutinised, critiqued or investigated. The belief is that it is the word of Allah therefore can be taken as it is without any questions. How confidently can a believer go up to a religious leader and ask any question regarding the Quran? You might say yes, but when questions are raised about it's authenticity, it is always swept under the carpet. Leave aside the questions being raised by science and reason! Numerous, people who have questioned this have been labelled as outcasts.
Bible
The Bible on the other hand encourages this. It wants people to investigate and dig it. In Acts17:11, Paul was talking highly about the people from Berea, that they would listen to leaders in meetings and go home to double check whether those things were correct. 1 Pet 3:15 wants Christians to be able to give a "reason" for their beliefs. If you haven't reasonably processed the information first, how can you reason with people from outside the faith? If you haven't thoroughly expounded your own beliefs to lead you to faith in it, it does beg the question whether you are of that it in the first pace. There are many instances in the Bible that this is encouraged. For this reason the Bible was heavily translated into as many languages possible for people to read, understand, reason and believe. People who want to go deeper can consult the Greek and Hebrew scriptures. Opposed to this Quran is read and learnt in the original language basically by recitation and memorisation. There are two issues to learning a language. Learning to read a language is different from actually learning the language to be able to conversate and articulate in it. Otherwise it's no different to "Poly wants a cracker" concept. Millions around the world read the Quran without fully understanding it's meaning. Lately a lot of English versions have been which is trying to fix this. But if more people begin reading and understanding this in English, there will be some who will struggle to reason. This will be a major issue as science and evidence drives our culture.
Hope you understand what am trying to say... Thanks..

Ronald Chand Abdul Khalil. Quote: [you want to teach and preach Bible to me,which i don't need I already gone through 10 different Bibles with different versions.]
Wow!! If you have read and understood all those 10 versions of the Bible, you must be a Biblical scholar by now! Even i haven't done that yet! But the questions or statements that you pose don't indicate this. Those theories that you preach about your dad being the Mahdi, even your Muslims brethren don't understand or agree with! Stick to the Quran. Surely there are different Korans, plus many more different versions of them that you can exegete to help us learn more about what you are claiming.
When u went through all 10 versions, were there any doctrinal difference?? Can u give me a list of these 10 versions please? The Yeshua of the Bible said in John 14:6-7 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
Just a reminder to those who are following these posts, that different versions are nothing more than different translation groups that undertook the task of translating the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic scriptures. There's NO doctrinal difference...
Quote: [If I die without your Christ still I will get the eternal life so it does't make any difference.I believe in different Christ who is not God but he is in the name of Al Mighty God. Praise the Lord,Christ, gracious is "KARIM".]
Could you give me a verse from the Quran saying that the Muslims Jesus forgives your sin and gives you eternal life like you said?
PS.> Just a healthy reminder we are all waiting for those verses and explanations regarding the Mahdi, Isa, Dajjal, Antichrist, False Prophet and Yeshua so that we can get to the heart of these discussions.
