2. Download and install steam (if you do not have).

3. Download Smartsteam 1.4.1 (if you do not have).

4. Copy all files in the Smartsteam folder to the steam folder directory.

5. Download the crack and paste it in the game directory.

6. Make spacemarine.exe from game folder, Run as Administrator.
- Right click on spacemarine.exe - properties - compatibility - then select 'run this program as an administrator' - Apply - Ok

7. Run smartsteam From steam folder (smartsteam.exe file)(Takes some time)

8. Change your appid to 42510

9. Run Spacemarine.exe from game folder (to start the game)

10. Go to "online" ---> public or private game

11. Enjoy and kick some ass or all

NOTE: If your MP or SP progress won't save, then open Steam > Settings > DOWNLOADS+CLOUD > Enable Steam Cloud... > Press OK and restart SmartSteam.

You don't need to edit the "steam_appid.txt" file!

IMPORTANT INFO

At the time of writing Your STEAMAPPID text file MUST be 17700 or 38750. The FIRST MultiFix 1 is set to 55410, the SECOND MultiFIX 2 linked below is 59750 - 59750 id has been 'blocked' unlike the other 2 numbers so remeber to change it. see below.

The file is located in the same folder as WarHammer SpaceMarine exe. You can change this yourself - either by creating a new txt file titled "steamappid". or edit your current file. Remember to save as a READ ONLY file.

Please note, If you have already played single player and wish to keep your saves you will need to go into "steam/userdata/XXXXXXX/yyyyy"

XXXXXX is specific to you. yyyyy is the steam id number in your steamappid text*. (often *59750 or 55410, depends where you obtained the game. Change to either 17770 or 38750.

Move all the files from the old "steam/userdata/XXXXXXX/yyyyy" to a folder named 17770 or 38750, create the folder if needed and of course match it to your newely changed steamappid.txt

How to set file as read only. Right Click on steamappid.txt - Properties - Secuirty - Edit and TICK/Check "Write" as 'DENY'.
