(Optional) Video Tutorial or www.tinyurl.com/DITunngle

1. Install Dead Island (Make sure you can load up the game properly before proceeding to step 2)
2. Download and Install Steam Client (http://www.tunngle.net/redirect/redirect.php?to=http%3A%2F%2Fcdn.steampowered.com%2Fdownload%2FSteamInstall.msi)
3. Download SmartSteam and extract it to your Steamfolder (http://www.tunngle.net/redirect/redirect.php?to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.filesonic.com%2Ffile%2F2061941391%2FSmartSteam141-fix.rar)
4. Download Update #3 + Coop Fix and extract both to your Dead Island Install folder. (http://www.tunngle.net/redirect/redirect.php?to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.filesonic.com%2Ffile%2F2062030344%2FDIY_Paper.rar
5. If your Install folder doesn't contain the steam_appid.txt. Create it yourself. Use 13140 or 57940 (more players seem to be using 57940). (Also be sure to mark the file as read only to prevent overwrites by steam)
6. Run SmartSteam
7. Join the Dead Island network on Tunngle.
8. Add deadislandgame.exe as non steam game or just launch the game directly from the deadislandgame.exe
9. Set your Game visibility to LAN or Internet (You can play both)
10. Play through Prologue. As soon you are in ACT 1, press ESC, then Game Lobby
11. Join any Game
12. Have Fun

HELP SECTION
Important Update Info

Before you update check your steam_appid.txt because some new update contain 13140 or 57940 on your "steam_appid.txt". If you update and lost your save change back the number either 13140 or 57940 before you can save untick read only and save it, click back read only, you will have your safe back.

Preventing Lost Savegames

    Completely uninstall Steam
    Delete the Steamfolder
Clean registry with CCleaner (Using at your own Risk!)
    Create new account on Steam
    Re-Install Steam and copy SmartSteam
Add Dead Island to Non-Steam Games
Follow the "How to Play" Tutorial

Savegames Location

Your save files are in the following folder (Depending on which AppID you use):"Steam/userdata/XXXXXXXX/13140/remote/out/" OR "Steam/userdata/XXXXXXXX/57940/remote/out/"
Enable Steam Cloud if your game doesn`t save progress. If you can't save the file right click steam_appid.txt then properties then unclick read only.

Preventing Game Stuttering

If you experience stuttering while playing, set your Game Visibility to LAN or Single Player. The stuttering is due to the Internet Matchmaking system.

Online

If you want to play online internet but not lan 57940 and 13140 doesnt work online anymore but 17700 work

3. Open steam_appid.txt , change the APPID, then save
4. Right Click steam_appid.txt , Click Properties, tick back read-only attribute, ok

Backup Save Game / Moving Save Game to New ID;

2. Click Open File Location
3. Now you are in Steam Directory, Browse to Steam\userdata\[randomnumberhere]\APPID\
4. randomnumberhere is your steam ID (dont share / post them in internet)
5. APPID is your save game folder and everytime you change dead island appid, create new folder with the same number of new APPID, and copy the files located in older APPID to the new one.for example if your old dead island APPID is 13140, then copy the files in that folder to new 17700
