| Monvee FAQ for Community Group Leaders
Q: What does “My Time,” “My Mind,” “My Relationships,” and “My Experiences” mean?
A: “My Time” provides suggestions for daily practices you do on your own, including prayer and Bible reading.
“My Mind” resources help us grow by learning. These resources include books, DVD, and other resources that give us insight, instruction, and knowledge as we grow spiritually. Most everything is available on Amazon (and we may have a few available at campus resource centers).
“My Relationships” resources are things I do with others. At Cross Point, we believe we grow best in the context of community. The My Relationships list provides a list of the top 10 possible community groups that are a good match for each user.
“My Experiences” resources are ways I live beyond myself. They include ministry opportunities at our Cross Point campuses and in the community. Based on your talents and personality, Monvee will recommend ways you can share Christ’s love in and outside the walls of Cross Point.
Q: Does my group have to choose the same books and volunteer opportunities?
A: Not at all. Because your roadmap is built around your personal learning styles and spiritual development, Monvee will probably suggest different resources for each person in your group. Of course, your group can always decide to serve together on a project together at any time!
Q: When I choose a community group or service opportunity through My Relationships or My Experiences, does that automatically sign me up?
A: When you select a community group or service opportunity, a ministry leader will get an email letting them know you’re interested in getting plugged in. They will contact you soon with more information about a community group or about the process of getting started in a ministry area.
Q: The community group I’m already plugged in to doesn’t show up in the suggestions for My Relationships. What’s up with that?
A: Don’t worry…Monvee may not show your specific group in the top 10 list. It’s only a list of suggestions that might be a good fit for you. If you plan to stay in your current group, just click on the “add your own resource” link to fill in the information about your group. This will update your Monvee calendar with your group meeting date and time.
Q: The ministry area I’m already plugged in to doesn’t show up in the suggestions for My Experiences. What’s up with that?
A: Just like it is in the My Relationships area, Monvee may not show your specific ministry area in the top 10 list. Again, it’s only a list of suggestions that might be a good fit for you. If you’re already serving in some way at Cross Point, you can just click on the “add your own resource” link to fill in the information about how you’re already serving. This will update your Monvee calendar with your serving date and time.
Q: Can a couple share one Monvee pack or does each person need to have his/her own?
A: Since Monvee provides an individualized plan based on each person’s unique learning style and spiritual life, it works best when each person has his/her own Monvee pack. Monvee will build a unique roadmap for each person with personalized suggestions for growing spiritually, connecting with others in community, and serving.
Q: When I build my roadmap, do I need to choose a plan that is for one month, three months, or six months?
A: This is totally up to you. It will not affect your choices for community groups, reading plans, recommended books, or service opportunities. At the end of whatever time period you choose, you can retake your assessment to see how you’ve grown and let Monvee suggest new resources for you.
Q: My wife took her Monvee assessment and built her roadmap. Monvee won’t let me take my own. We bought two packs. What’s going on?
A: Make sure you sign out of Monvee after you’re done by clicking the “sign out” button in the top right corner of your dashboard. If that doesn’t work, try opening another browser window.
Q: Can anyone see my answers to the assessment questions?
A: Not at all. The only information that ministry leaders have access to is an overall sketch of a campus. No specific information on individual users can be accessed by anyone. Monvee is very protective of individual security.
