So… guys have to put the seat down to sit and women have to have the seat down all the time, and only guys ever need the seat up but only when they pee.  Since both sexes use the seat down and only one sex ever uses the seat up, the seat stays down.  In fact.. the lids should be kept down as well.  Guys can be so anal about having the seat up… wait… maybe they are more anal when it is down.  Yuk yuk.
