OFFLINE
Muslims say that Islam is simply "submission to a monotheistic god" and hence all the patriarchs and prophets of the Bible including Jesus were Islamic.

This can not be true because Mohammed makes no reference to YHWH (Yahweh) in the Quran. They say that the Arabic word for god is allah but the in the Bible it is "El" or "Elohim" (Hebrew ) and Theos [Θεός] (Greek) as Creator. Now the problem here is that this is the same as calling calling a "human" a person. The Bible designates this El as YHWH in the Bible about 7000 times!! Why would the Creator Elohim, in giving His Word to Moses and the rest identify Himself as YHWH and then just be called god in the Quran. It is just like a person changing His name from "Farook" to "Human Being"!! Doesn't make sense. Names do not change especially if it's God's Name.

On the contrary allah was used as a name of the moon god.

If the criteria for being muslim is just submission to one God, then won't all the monotheistic religions in the world will be Muslims? Are Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Sikhism, Noahides, Bahá'í Faith, Cao Dai and many other monotheistic religions Muslims?? Very bad logic. Look up the law of non contradiction. Contradictory statements regarding the Creator of the Universe by so many different religions can not all be true.

Christianity makes no such claim. We uphold that the God of the Jews and Christians is the one and only true God who is calls Himself YHWH!!

THE BIBLE IS ALWAYS READ IN CONTEXT!!!

1. God Sent Prophet in Deuteronomy 18:18
Deuteronomy 18:15–19 God promises a line of prophets who will speak to Israel on his behalf (cf. Jer. 1:7 , 9 , pertaining to Jeremiah's ministry). Moses speaks of himself as a prophet, the instrument of communicating God's word to Israel (cf. Deut. 18:19 ; Ex. 7:1 ). Nations listen (Deut. 18:14 ) to magicians, etc.; Israel is to listen to God's prophet (vv. 15 , 19 ) rather than pagan means of revelation and guidance. On the voice of the LORD, see 5:23–28 . a prophet like you. Now God speaks of Moses as a prophet and promises a future prophet like him for Israel. In the first century A.D., Jews expected a final prophet, whom NT writers identified as Jesus (Acts 3:22–24 ; 7:37 ; cf. John 1:21 ).

Simple understanding of this passage debunks the Mohammedan concept because the verse says that YHWH will give this Prophet words and He will be from amongst Jewish brethren!! Mohammed wasn't a Jewish was he? If He was sent by the YHWH, then why does he always refer to the moon god "allah"?

Casting aside the false assertions of Islam, the New Testament affirms this special person with prophetic insights being Christ. So a Christian does not have to adhere to Mohammed's teachings. There's no driving requirement for this.

Infact the following verses speak of the False Prophet that is Mohammed: Deuteronomy 13:1-5 ~ “If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams SHALL BE PUT TO DEATH, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to make you leave the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.

Surely enough Mohammed made some prophecies which haven't been fulfilled.  According to the verse Deuteronomy 18:20, which has to be read in context of you quoted (Deuteronomy 18:18) says that Mohammed should be put to death!! Consider just one of many others...

Book 37, Number 4282: Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal: "The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: The greatest war, the conquest of Constantinople and the coming forth of the Dajjal (Antichrist) will take place within a period of seven months."

Book 37, Number 4283: Narrated Abdullah ibn Busr: "The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: The time between the great war and the conquest of the city Constantinople) will be six years, and the Dajjal (Antichrist) will come forth in the seventh."

We haven't seen the Dajjal yet, have we?

Argument:
"But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak . . . that prophet shall die." ~GOD (Deuteronomy18:20)[1]

"I have fabricated things against God and have imputed to Him words which He has not spoken." ~MUHAMMAD (Al-Tabari 6:111)[2]

Doesn't Mohammed himself acknowledge of being a false prophet?? None of the prior prophets have taken this stand without losing their credibility...

2. The Helper
Muslims also quote John 16:7, "Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the "Helper" will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you." Saying that this Helper is Mohammed.

This argument is very easily debunked when the Helper is looked at in context of the Bible, it is clear that it is definitely not Mohammed, but the Holy Spirit. John 14:26 clearly states that this Helper is the Holy Spirit.

All the scripture is complete and there was no need for anything extra according to Revelation 22:18-19, "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

Are there any concrete logical requirements that you think adds to the Christian view of Salvation which the Quran adds and is not in the Bible?? If you think so then please share with us...
