OFFLINE | Basically, certain categories are in too much of a demand by prospective moderators. Now, unless this (wack) forum app reveals a feature that lets me add more than one mod to a category, I'll be cycling the mods of the 'most wanted' categories every two months.
For that to happen though, a person interested in modding a bigger / better category should first prove their mettle in the smaller categories given to them. Similarly, if a mod does too good a job in a major category and no one wants him / her removed, he won't be cycled, or removed, until he gets inactive and / or resigns.
If you want to be a mod for a forum by replacing another, an alternative way is that you inbox a present mod and ask him / her whether he / she can step down for a while. That'd be simpler, and besides, mods are generally good people so you may get a decent chance that way too.
Always remember, the bigger the pie, the bigger the teeth you need, to bite into it. Modding major areas, as cool as it may be, can get tough. So, yea, think it up a lot before taking that shot.
If you're interested in an area, post your topic of interest in this thread. I'll see what can be done. |
