 OFFLINE | Missing: October 12, 2016
- On Tuesday night, October 11th, Zuzu, her boyfriend (Robert Fabian), and some friends went to the movies at the Rangra theater. Police say Zuzu went missing in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 12th. Zuzu missed her mid-term exam and her shift at work. Her mother said she hadn't heard from her, and on Friday, contacted police.
- 22-year-old Zuzu Verk has been missing since early Wednesday morning. And though she remains missing, her face can be seen all over town as "missing" fliers are posted on nearly every business window with the community pouring in support. On Sunday Alpine Chief of Police Russell Scown organized a volunteer search party. All day helicopters could be seen flying overhead, as law enforcement and nearly 150 people split up in groups and combed through the city and the outlying areas.
- Some of them looked in dumpsters and alleys, while others searched the fields and train tracks near Verk's home. Glenn Verk arrived in Alpine Saturday night from out of town. He's here with one goal: to find his daughter.
