For him to have known all the hatch-able Digimon and their Evos, he would have to massively farm until he managed to get the eggs and successfully hatch them. Then he would have had to buy Evolators or whatever they are called for each Digimon to figure out their evo lines.

Ophanimon, MagnaAngemon and Cherubimon
