Sometimes they're good, sometimes bad....
Tonight I had a good one.... an old boyfriend I had long since forgotton..... our first date..... ahhhhh..... youth is wasted on the young! |

Sometimes, it's happening as I wake up. Perhaps because I was dreaming. When it happens at this time, it' not just a memory ... the feelings are stirred as if it weren't in the past but in the present.

OFFLINE | Ha...I found someone on FB that I used to babysit when I was a Teenager....I asked him if he remembered me...and he said...Of Course...I was the BEST Babysitter he ever had...

Good gawd that's a powerful statement! To be a child with an adult's wisdom would be, what, heaven-like?
Anywho, it's not so much memories that pops into my head, it's dreams. I occasionally have a dream where I've gotten back with my ex and in the dream I quickly remember WHY the marriage needed to end. I think it basically serves as a reminder to stay happily single until the time is really 'right' (or as right as it can be anyways).
Also, I occasionally have a dream that I go back to work for someone i worked for 12 years ago. Similarly to my dreams of getting back with my ex, here, I'm quickly reminded of why i quit that job to begin with. In this sense, I think this dream is meant to teach me to be appreciative of the circumstances of the job I currently have. |
