Pedro was the product of an all night chat session. Several of the Ladies were in a state of dilusional sleeplessness when we all wondered if Edward passed gas. We came up with the theory that he could indeed exhibit flatulence given the proper circumstances. It was during this enlightenment that Pedro was born. Pedro, was a cultured MexiCali deer from Ensenada who enjoyed gardening and feasting on soy beans. It was after one of these soy bean suppers that Edward Cullen happened upon him in his forest garden. As Edward began to drink his fill, he noticed a certain rumbly in his tumbly. Edward pulled his mouth away from poor Pedro in time to let out a gaseous expulsion that would have cinged the nose hairs out of any human passerby. Edward had never experienced such a thing in all his years as a vampire, so he left poor Pedro for dead in his garden. Three days later, Pedro became the un-deer and our mascot.

PS: You can view Pedro's final moments with a heartbeat in the beginning of the Twilight movie. After he was bitten, he regained his youthful spots and developed his roguish good looks.
