is anyone even listening to this boob anymore? so he comes out and doubles down on the stimulus, making the same tired excuses as he did with the first stim, and the infrastructure bill. we gotta build roads and bridges, keep teachers, firefighters, and police on the job, ya de ya de ya... even some within his own party are like, oy.

and did any of you know that within his "jobs bill" obama creates an entirely new class of protected people? the unemployed. written within the law it basically makes it illegal to "discriminate" against the unemployed, just as it is with other classes of protected people, such as minorities, and homosexuals. so basically, if someone who is unemployed gets called in for an interview but isn't given the job, he can take you to court on the grounds of discrimination if he finds a lawyer to take up the case. so let's think about what some of the unintended (or intended) consequences of this are. a lot of places probably wont even bother to interview those who are unemployed, for fear of frivolous lawsuits. continuating yet another group of people dependent on the government.

and then he embarrassed us again at the un. from out of nowhere in his speech he starts talking about the rights of gays and lesbians? is that really the forum for that? i mean there's a lot of serious **** going on around the world, and he just has to throw in a line about homosexuals? and then, of course, there's the picture. this dumbass is the only one waving, and his hand is right in front of like the south korean president's face.

oh and then of course there's solyndra, which the media is trying its best to downplay. i just want to know who exactly ordered the fbi seizure of solyndra's files and computers, even the hard drives from the company's execs, just two days after the company closed its doors. would that sort of thing be up to eric holder, because i just don't trust that son of a ****, esp after fast and furious and project gunrunner, along with the black panther case he squashed, and the fact that he and obama are have gone behind congresses back with the transporting of terrorists to u.s. soil, and are STILL quietly talking about closing down gitmo.

oh, and originally, the solyndra execs said that they would cooperate with a congressional investigation, yet now, after lawyering up with some firms who are BIG obama contributors, they have indicated that they're going to plead the 5th.

then there's the lightsquared scandal that's starting to rear its head, with the two expert witnesses now claiming they'd been urged to change their testimony with regard to this new 5G network the company wanted to create (with stimulus money, of course) and it interfering with the military's gps system.

not to mention the near dozen or so companies that recieved stimulus dollars who have also gone bankrupt.

crony-capitalism is suddenly in the spotlight. that's all the stimulus was ever about. this is the kind of capitalism obama likes. the kind where he gets to pick the losers and winners. except he's not very good at picking.

I just about fell outta my chair laughing last night when watching the debates and Gary Johnson said  that his neighbors dogs had created more shovel ready jobs than Obama.  ROFL!!!!  Brought the house down.  

Man, this election cant get here soon enough for me.

Yep, the job bills has a protection clause for the long term unemployed.  Any individual suing under this law has to prove that he was discriminated against because he was unemployed.  Discrimination is always difficult to prove, and this wouldn't be any easier to prove.  Whenever there was a protection either because of sex or race or age, there was a cry that no one will get hired anymore because no one will want to take applications or get interviewed.  It has never happened yet, and I see no real reason that this 'unemployed class' protection clause will affect anything...well, except those employers that are actively doing so might become a bit more careful in their practice.

The homosexuality reference at the UN was because of a long-standing UN resolution to ask for protections for sexuality.  It's non-binding and has no penalties if you actually ignore it.  The other western nations and many others signed on, President Bush refused to look at it.  The US was left with countries that will cut your peepee off if you glance at another man.  This administration decided to sign it after DADT was repealed.

There are photos and soundbites of Presidents being awkward, clumsy. embarrassing, and saying stupid things since there have been recording instruments.  The present one is no different.
