OFFLINE | When I gave birth to my son 3yrs ago I stayed at home for as long as I possibly could (as instructed by my doctor & midwife) by the time we got to the hospital I was 6cm dilated & going home with a baby. My labour was only 5hrs (which is mild compared to some of the horror stories Ive heard) but I was already too far gone for an epidural and I couldnt suck on the gas when I was supposed to (during contractions) so I basically did it drug free (thank god Angus was only 6lb) & im not gonna sugar coat it.. WORST PAIN EVER but obviously not that bad because Im currently 28wks pregnant with my 2nd! So my question is: When you have a high tolerance for pain like I do, when do you say "ok enoughs enough, you need to go to the hospital" ? Ive heard alot of people have been sent home because they get there too early. Any advice would be muchly appreciated |
