Well i took another stab at this game (I am a big evony player so it is difficult at best to find a strat game that can compete - EVONY is the BLIZZARD (creators of World of Warcraft) of strategy games.

While it plays (dryly) like eveony, the quest tutorial failed. At a certain point, if you are a new player, the tutorial will PREMATURELY take you out of protection  - the quest involves attacking a plot of land to start a 2nd city. I thought that was sad. I played past it, but after this, there was no sense of direction for new players of this genre to get a feel of the play, because now they have to watch their back.

I would be interested in opinions on this. However, I can tell by watching the chat, majority of players are veterans, and are not affected by this, as not only are they prepared, but have a good team backing them up.

Final word, play EVONY first to get a feel of how these games are played to prepare you for games like KOC!
KOC in its own right is an excellent game with wonderful mechanics., as a strat veteran, I loved it, but from a new player perspective, I think it needs some "kinks" worked out.
