OFFLINE | so there's a "day of rage" protest being called for in saudi arabia on facebook, march 11th. how much are gas prices going to skyrocket now? the mere threat alone will send the speculators into a frenzy. |

OFFLINE | add to that the questions of whether the Saudis can maintain production rates even without protests and the oil companies have been making known their grumblings over the last Alaskan deal and may be reducing efforts there |
................ Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming... "WOO HOO what a ride!"

OFFLINE | I am glad I got the plans for a still back in high school to make my homemade fuel both for my car and myself sorry testing the results too much..
But no seriously. Yes I do have the plans for a still from when my father took a course on gasohol back in the 1970's. It can be used for making regular "fuel" or even distill vegetable oil or other fats for use in a diesel engine. |

Gas prices here up $0.17 / gallon overnight.
And to think, if we'd "drill baby drilled" a couple of years ago, we'd be 2 years closer to being more independent. |

To be honest, I think we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Wait, I thought according to Politics As Usual, Political Correctness, popular media personalities, we're suppose to play the victim and point fingers? If I have to pay for my own Vaseline, I hope I'm a good lay too!

That finger points at us if we voted for the bastards who're standing in the way.

I agree and disagree. I agree because I feel each voter should take responsibility for their choices. But, every time I've voted, the man always falls short of his promises. I really wish they'd quite doing that during the debates And as far as political affiliations go, it never matters when I vote Right or Left; they both fall short of their promises. And, the Independent ticket here will never matter in this regard because an Independent will never get elected (whether or not it's a wasted vote is still in the air for me),,,, Anywho, I do tend to wonder if we're voting for what's more or less a fantasy.
But I digress. I'd like to think that there's a fair degree of ignorance and then 'surprise, guess what you and everyone else didn't know before this moment' when first taking over the oval office that plays a part in their inability to keep campaign promises - but I doubt that I'll never personally know. |

When it comes to liberty, to compare this Administration's "shortcomings" with any previous administration is like comparing a the destructiveness of a pea shooter to that of an atomic bomb.
And I only say "shortcomings" parenthetically because that's how you characterize it. IMO, it's more accurate to call what's happening an agenda.
We've never had a Marxist in the White House nor communists or socialists in the Executive Branch before.
And I pray to God we never will again. |
