 OFFLINE | James Jarvis and his wife Martha [nee Bartlett] arrived from Tolpuddle, DOR, ENG on the 'Augusta Jessie' 1838. They had begun their journey with 3 children William [my ggrandfather] Mary and Charles, Charles died on the voyage and was buried at sea. The family settled in Morpeth, spent time at Singleton where they became Christian Israelites and then went back to Morpeth. James and Martha are buried at Morpeth C of E Cemetery.
William Jarvis married Susannah Picksley 1872 at St Patricks, Singleton, the family settled in Maitland.
