My favorites so far have been from Toshiro Mifune and Akira Kurosawa working together. Classics like Seven Samurai and Throne of Blood have been great pleasures to see, especially when real arrows are shot at Mifune and you can see him almost **** himself on camera. Sword of Doom by Kihachi Okamoto is great too, its about a nihilistic samurai who goes insane over the course of years, eventually forced to fight an innumerable horde of enemies from his own consciousness.
