Watching the news.... can't seem to stop...

My girlfriend's husband is in Japan, visiting his mom, northern Japan. She hasn't heard anything.

And of course so many of my friends on the west coast, many with beautiful beach homes....

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone....

Just breaking ... the tsunami has hit Crescent City, CA with an 8 foot wave.  Apparently, the town was built on the water.  Major damage.

The footage is just devastating ...

Did you know you can donate $10 that will go towards relief to those in need in Japan by texting REDCROSS to 90999.  Bob also has a link to their website ... Bob ????

Sending some prayers to all the families involved with the earthquake and tsunamis.  Hoping that everyone who has a loved one in any of those affected areas will hear from their loved ones soon.

I watched as this unfolded last night. Watching the tsunami roll in on Japan was spine tingling. Then seeing the refinery on fire almost froze my blood. Then hearing today the nuclear plant troubles reminded me of 3 mile island and praying that it does not end up another Chernobyl. Now hearing about the evacuation ordered for around a second Nuclear plant.

FYI, there's a bogus FouTube link going around on this suggesting a Whale was thrown into a building by the Tsunami. Don't click the link, it's bogus and automatically posts the link to your own wall.

Give the page a few moments to load. In the center of each picture is a slide bar that you can drag and move left to right - showing the before and after.

on Wednesday after seeing this picture of a destroyed graveyard I wrote the below

Sacrilegious Sanctifications

desecrating the dead
was the wrath of god
as his finger now points
at you and you ask, “why?”
but will he answer your inquiry
or only state we know not his ways
then question where were we in beginnings
are we not belittled enough by this magnitude
calamity that now devastates the foundation of faith
but in the weeping of children, old,  all… me… you?
I will cling to… grasp for… something… anything
the crumbs of the angel bread… you have
baptized the world in pain and suffering
I will not try to comprehend this
no comfort in understanding
no strength in knowledge
foolishly I rise above
deaths desecration

~o~

and just now stumbled upon this song... so hauntingly powerful
