but i just wanted to wish you all a merry christmas, whether you celebrate it or not. trust me on this, if this time of year is difficult for you, then go do some good toward your fellow man. donate some old food to a food bank, donate some toys to toys-for-tots or something. take your old close and shoes to a salvation army drop off.

there are a lot of ways you can help, that don't inconvenience you terribly, and if you do, you will feel a lot happier about yourself. and possibly even find some joy and yuletide cheer. if you hate the commercialization of christmas, then help show people what this time of year is really for. it's a time for reflecting on all the blessings in your life, and for doing some good for those less fortunate than yourself.

god bless all you guys.

We give to charities throughout the year, whenever we are able. Bob always helps collect food when the post office has their food drive.  The Salvation Army is one of the charities we try to give extra too during the holidays, and this year, instead of sending something Bob's brother & sis-in-law, who have plenty, we made a donation in their name to the Salvation Army, too.

Even though we don't celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, we do celebrate it as "a time for reflecting on all the blessings in your life, and for doing some good for those less fortunate than yourself".

We've been singing along with all the Christmas songs on the radio, getting into the spirit! Merry Christmas to you all, as well! Peace on earth, good will toward men.  God bless you and yours, Doddy, dear!

This is one of my favorite Christmas songs.  It combines the traditional and contemporary (for the 70s anyway!) I think it's lovely!
