OFFLINE | I am reading a very interesting book "Quiet - The Power of Introverts in a World that does not Stop Talking". The book, written by an introvert, highlights how today's society lives under the extroverts model of personality and charisma and traces the history of how this model came to take over the introverts model of character and quiet thinking. Yet, introverts are often those who contribute the most to society's new thinking. The likes of Einstein, Darwin, Newton and other great thinkers were all introverts. Food for thought! Isn't it time to bring back substance over the more flashy - less reflective - approach of the sympathetic charismatic extrovert? |
