Hi Guys!

So anyway, I was cranking along pretty well there for a while. I'm going to turn 50 next year, so I decided pull up into that occasion in tip top shape. I cut way back on forms, bag-work, etc., and hit the gym for some targeted conditioning, especially some of the Tom Kurz recommended exercises.

About a year into this regimen I woke one morning with every muscle in my back and neck in spasms, and my right arm drained of about 75% of its strength and feeling numb.

This happened without any forewarning, completely out of the blue.

*sigh*.

I know a lot of you guys have gone through worse. I guess I should take a perspective that I've usually been pretty lucky.

Turns out to be a herniated disc in my neck. Anyway, that's where I've been. Physical therapy (like some old lady, lol). Medications.

About the last thing on my mind has been martial arts.

Meh, it can only get better from here, right?

Wishing you guys all the best!
