Graham Arthur Chapman 8 January 1941 was an English comedian, actor, writer, physician and one of the six members of the Monty Python comedy troupe.

He passed away on 4 October 1989 after suffering from spinal cancer eleven months earlier. Present when he died in a Maidstone hospital including his brother, sister-in-law, partner David Sherlock, and his former Python fellows John Cleese and Michael Palin, who had to be led out of the room to deal with their grief.

Graham Chapman, co-author of the 'Parrot Sketch,' is no more.

He has ceased to be, bereft of life, he rests in peace, he has kicked the bucket, hopped the twig, bit the dust, snuffed it, breathed his last, and gone to meet the Great Head of Light Entertainment in the sky, and I guess that we're all thinking how sad it is that a man of such talent, such capability and kindness, of such intelligence should now be so suddenly spirited away at the age of only forty-eight, before he'd achieved many of the things of which he was capable, and before he'd had enough fun.

Well, I feel that I should say, "Nonsense. Good riddance to him, the freeloading bastard! I hope he fries. "

And the reason I think I should say this is, he would never forgive me if I didn't, if I threw away this opportunity to shock you all on his behalf. Anything for him but mindless good taste. I could hear him whispering in my ear last night as I was writing this:

"Alright, Cleese, you're very proud of being the first person to ever say '****' on television. If this service is really for me, just for starters, I want you to be the first person ever at a British memorial service to say '****'!"

BLACK KNIGHT: Come on then.

ARTHUR: What?

BLACK KNIGHT: Have at you!

ARTHUR: You are indeed brave, Sir knight, but the fight is mine.

BLACK KNIGHT: Oh, had enough, eh?

ARTHUR: Look, you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left.

BLACK KNIGHT: Yes I have.

ARTHUR: Look!

BLACK KNIGHT: Just a flesh wound.

Haha!

Jeffrey Scott "Jeff" Buckley born November 17, 1966 was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was the son of Tim Buckley, also a musician.

"On the evening of May 29, 1997, Buckley's band flew to Memphis intending to join him in his studio there to work on the newly-written material. That same evening, Buckley went swimming in Wolf River Harbor, a slackwater channel of the Mississippi River, while wearing boots, all of his clothing, and singing the chorus of the song "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin.

Buckley had gone swimming there several times before.[105] A roadie in Buckley's band, Keith Foti, remained on shore. After moving a radio and guitar out of reach of the wake from a passing tugboat, Foti looked up to see that Buckley had vanished. Despite a determined rescue effort that night, Buckley remained missing. On June 4, his body was spotted by a tourist on a riverboat and was brought to land."

I was just posting some vid for my friends on "the other network". The songs were from Molly Hatchet, one of the many Southern rock groups that followed Lynyrd Skynyrd out of Jacksonville, Florida.  Hatchet's lead singer was Danny Joe Brown, who passed away a couple of years ago or so.  Hope he's jammin' somewhere with Duane Allman (Hatchet did a wonderful cover of the Allman's "Dreams (I'll Never See)") and maybe even Ronnie Van Zant himself - without him, a bunch of bands would have never gotten off the ground.
