I'm having problems with my pictures. I can view them when I'm at the album but when I select a photo the picture doesn't show up. The page stop loading after loading everything apart from the selected picture. Is there a new add-on required to view photos.

Make sure you've downloaded all Abode Plug-Ins. It's not that there's any new ones, but sometimes your browser will require an Adobe Plug-In update in order to see various parts of a website. If you're not already using it, try Mozilla Firefox. You can also try what Ben has suggested.

I had this same issue when uploading my most recent picture. I had to create a new album designated for profile pictures, because I found out that the original album that Facebook starts you with is only an archive, and you're not actually able to upload pictures directly to it. When I had uploaded the new picture to the newly-created album, I could see them fine. Yet when I click on them, it either wouldn't show up or it would take some time before it finally did.

Most of the time, an internet connection can cause these issues. The page will load, but not all components will load appropriately. Usually resulting in you having to either refresh the page or the specific picture / video that isn't loading.
