I'm a newbie to Aurora Sound Studio and what I want to do is upload to my computer and work on the patterns and songs. I'm not going to be sharing them at this point. Could someone let me know how to do that? I can't figure it out from the I Pad app, or the Manual which I've downloaded. When I did download the file I got a group of figures, but have no idea where to go to access the file. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Lucinda
Sorry for the delay in posting this, I know Paul has already been in touch directly but thought it would be useful for this to be posted here.
In order to create files that can be played on a MAC or PC you need to export your completed song to a suitable file format.
To export a song you need to do the following:
1) Go to the ‘File’ menu and turn on ‘Advanced Mode’. This adds a few extra things to the menus which are advanced features.
2) Select ‘Record To File’ from the ‘File’ menu… this is hidden if you are not in advanced mode.
3) Tick the ‘Use Trigger Level’ then press ‘REC’.
At this point you should see a flashing green square around the arrangement grid. This tells you that we are ready to record but not actually recording yet!
1) Press the Song play button to start your track and the flashing green square will turn RED.
2) Once your song has completed playing press the loop stop at the bottom and the border will return to normal and recording will end.
NOTE: You can improvise and play live over your sequence whilst recording to file.
You need to type the following into the Safari web browsers address bar once FTP is enabled in Aurora
ftp://192.168.1.2:20000/
where 192.168.1.2 is substituted by the iPads IP address which is given to you when FTP is enabled.
You should see a list of files and folders which you can navigate in Safari. Simply drag and drop files onto your desktop to copy them to the Mac.
Alternatively you could use an FTP client such as FileZilla which is a free download. You need to create an anonymous login without a user name and password, just set the host address as your IP address and change the port to 20000 and that’s it. FileZilla has a quickconnect toolbar which simplifies this operation.

Hi- i'm having the same issue, can't figure out how to use filezilla, when i type all those numbers as above on the web browser i get an error message, and am tired of tutorials saying " use ftp" without explanation. What other solution did you find?? And why would these guys write such a great app then only let you export it in .sng format, which apparently has no player or conversion software?

Hi Kelly,
So sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Someone recommended "Cyberduck," to me and that works well. It has a Quick Connect where you type the location from Aurora and then you'll see the files.
