Well pretty much, im a newbie and idk how you can tell the difference between the mercenary eggs. I dont want to buy an egg that is suppose to be a 5/5 egg and waste alot of bits for an egg that is a 3/5 egg.

If you mean buying a cash shop egg from another player it will say what level it is and if its just a champ or if ultimate or mega is unlocked. A 5/5 will cost you about 5T or more. A normal merc egg cost about 5 to 30M and is entirely luck based. You could go to 5/5 first try or more likely waste a few hundred  data without ever even getting it to 1/5

oh boy when you buy from cash shop you get an mystery egg that you need to scan you can get ether 3 or 4 or 5 lvl random but that's reinforced egg it means you can insert data 3 or 4 or 5 times without brake or fail and hatch it

also there is matter of unlocked/locked evolutions sometime you see on egg say next to lvl champion or ultimate or mega it means actually how many evolutions are unlocked if it says champion it means ultimate and mega still locked and you need to unlock with evolutors how many you need various on digimon some need more or less also if it says mega that means all evolutions are unlocked and no need for evolutors to unlock any

as for normal eggs that are obtained from wild digimons drops they aren't reinforced so they don't have any lvl written on them (duh) and they might fail or brake before you can even hatch them depends on your dumb luck 3 lvl is always needed at least to even hatch it

also in case for those who wonder whats difference between for example 3 lvl hatch and 5 lvl answer is SIZE and STATS bigger digimon is better for example an attack is bigger

there is also little fact about starter digimons that you started with they size 100% that's kinda between 3 and 4 lvl

You need to scan the egg once to determine what level it is at and what form is unlocked.  For example you bought agumon using Psilk, scan  it once and you got 3/5 mega. If you feel it is no good for you, you either sell it to other players or scan it the second time and you'll get digicores, plenty of 'em.

yea if you buy with normal silk you can't sell it to other players since its character bounded but you can still always get digicores from those you don't want
