OFFLINE | I have turned the volume (%) and the music (6%) but cannot make either go any lower. I'd like to be able to mute it completely so I can run the game in the background while I do other things. These other things need sound, so simply muting the computer speakers isn't an option.
How can I accomplish this? |

Hello Nancy.
It is possible to turn the volume down. Technically you do it the same way as turning up the volume, only in the opposite direction by multiple clicking on the line to move the slider.
Best regards,
Alex

OFFLINE | Indeed. I /have/ moved the indicator button ALL THE WAY to the left yet cannot get the sound or the volume to go any lower. There really needs to be a MUTE button. -_- |

OFFLINE | Hi, Nancy! I had the same problem you're having, and I did exactly what you did and Alex suggested. Maybe I got lucky, it worked for me. I clicked the slider on the "note/music" button all the way to the left, and I tried to slide it a bit more just to make sure. Now I have the red diagonal "No" line through the note, and not a sound since. Just to make sure, I also slid my sound button all the way to the left. No red line, but I never had a lot of ambient sound to begin with, just wanted to make sure all bases were covered. I had to go back and forth with the music button to totally turn it off, though. I hope I'm understanding you correctly, and it's the music you want turned off, not the sound. Hope this helps.
Edit: Same date, a bit later
I'm sorry, I re-read your OP and saw you couldn't get your music volume below 6%, so everything I said won't help you at all. I'm sure you've done this, but did you slide (or click) the music button over and over, sometimes fast and sometimes slowly? I know nothing about this, but if it was something in my house, I'd think it was stuck and just play with it for a while. I'm still new here and I know Alex Broadway is the go-to man, answering explaining questions, and no disrespect to Alex, but I wonder if there's a tech person who could look for a fix? Maybe Alex is the tech person, in which case my reply has nothing to offer. I'm sorry Nancy, I hope this can be resolved for you somehow. |

OFFLINE | Thanks for the reply, Bobbie, but yes, I've tried what you suggested. |
