I don't quite understand how this is setup. I thought this was a forum app for Facebook but it's starting to look like I'm adding my forum to a larger group of other forums that I want nothing to do with. I don't have a need or care to see a forum directory listing knitting clubs and scuba divers and what really is the point of that?

My main question is how autonomous is my forum content? I have no interest in my forum being part of another community where someone else may have a say in how things are run or what we discuss. I see in the ban thread some suggestion that a banned member of one forum be banned from all forums. That is exactly the kind of things I want to avoid. I need a forum software, not a babysitter.
