I am having some issues with my HR readings. The signal drops out and when it does work, HR reading goes up to 237, which is way higher than actual HR. I have replaced the battery, cleaned the contact points, reset the unit, lubricated the strap and ensured that strap is tight enough around my chest, but nothing seems to help.  Anyone have an idea what's going on? should I return the unit?

Hi, Chris,

I am sorry for the troubles.  Do you mind sending the links of the graphs to our support people?  You can send several graphs so that it will be easier to figure out.  Please send to support@brytonsport.com.  Thank you for your patience.

Hi Chris,
I had a similar porblem. My heart rate would drop during hard efforts and snd sometimes went to zero. I sent it back for a warranty claim and so far it's been good. Just wish there was a way to improve the contrast, it's had to view at times with the glare on the screen.

I am having the same problem, it seems to have started at the time that I did the firmware update. HR was inaccurate at first, down to 77bpm on climbs then spikes to 240bpm. HR and Cadence now don't work at all.

I've had similar problems, the HR would work fine at the start of a ride then drop off and then becomes very inconsistent to the point climbing i have a HR of 48. The shop i purchased the unit from has been fantastic in helping trouble shoot the issues and they have ordered a 3rd party HR monitor to try to rule out the strap or unit its self.

The main reason i bought the Unit was for training with HR zones etc and its been very frustrating that i have been unable to fully use the unit to its potential. I love my Bryton 30, just frustrated the HR is very inconsistent and if there are no fixes i will be asking for a refund. Units less than 2 months old and the HR has never worked correctly

My problems are all sorted, a new heart rate monitor and strap fixed my issue. Not using the bryton strap/monitor as it is being returned as its faulty.
