 OFFLINE | Harry Reid, the idiot senator wants to ban prostition from Nevada because it's not family friendy....
Here's the kicker.... prostition is only legal in the smaller, rural counties that DID NOT support Reid.
I guess gambling- allowed in all counties including the Clark (Las Vegas- what would they do without gambling!) is family friendly. I mean NO ONE has a gambling problem, right???

LAS VEGAS (Reuters) – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Tuesday urged lawmakers from his home state of Nevada to make prostitution illegal, a move that would turn back decades of cultural and legal history.
"The time has come for us to outlaw prostitution," Reid said during remarks at the opening of Nevada's bi-annual legislative session.
Though Reid's comments occupied only a few paragraphs in an eight-page speech, they caused an immediate stir in Nevada, the only U.S. state where prostitution is legal.
Nevada allows legal brothels in counties with populations of less than 400,000, which doesn't include Clark County or Las Vegas. The state has been home to legal brothels since the early 70s, currently numbering two dozen.
"Nevada needs to be known as the first place for innovation and investment - not as the last place where prostitution is still legal," Reid said, adding that his concern about the issue was prompted by a visit by an technology firm to rural Storey County.

Don't know off hand... but I'd like to know.
I can tell you that the crime rate in Churchill County went up significantly when prostition was outlawd there....
I can al so tell you that illegal prostition accounts for a high percentage of the crimes in Clark County where it is illegal.
Making it illegal is NOT going to rid the state of prostitution.

... **** is a crime of violence; normally not just a guy being **** and wanting to get some.

(New Hampshire receiving the lowest crime rate ranking)
"Nevada’s murder rate was nearly seven times higher than New Hampshire’s, and the Silver State reported a **** rate of 43 cases per 100,000 people compared to the national average of 30. Nevada also tops the list for robbery rate, with an average 270 reported cases per 100,000 citizens versus the national average of 148, and New Hampshire’s rate of 33." |

I'd be willing to bet most of the crimes are commited in Clark and Washoe counties.... prostitution is ILLEGAL in both those counties.
Harry Reid's move is quite simply an attack against rural Nevada. We don't like him. We don't support him.
