OFFLINE | I am looking for Hanja for 갑권 (Cap Kwon) for backfist. Additionally, I find the etymology that you so often provide very enlightening.
I have reviewed the posts on the older board so I hope that I am not being redundant. |

OFFLINE | Here are some notes on what we have so far:
1. "Kap" 갑 can be ...
2. Outside of Tang Soo Do, there are very few web references for back-fist being 갑권.
3. Hapkido sometimes refers to back-fist as "Gag Kwon."
4. Several Chinese and Japanese MA use "Li Gwon" which means inside punch.
(I apologize but I can't seem to add my Hanja characters to this post. That is why the initial post is blank.) |

 OFFLINE | Master Segarra,
One of the scholars in my organization offered this info:
According to http://hanjadic.bravender.us/ “Kap” 갑 can be any of: 匣 合 岬 押 甲 胛 鉀 閘 韐
Anything work for Cap Kwon?
Thank you! |

OFFLINE | Much thanks. I have taught myself Hangul so that I can better understand the terminology of TSD. Hanja is a significantly more daunting task. |
