The aim of the focus group is to work on a strategy for Pinterest.  The final deliverable will be a strategy given in document or video form.

The first thing you should do is have general discussions about the topics you will cover, what goes into those topics, and what you will have to discover that you don't know yet.

I'd highly reccommend google hangouts for these discussions.  if you need help with this then let me know - once you have a hangout then that link can be used over and over again whenever you want to.

Much of your preparatory work will be spent in the general discussion area where you will thrash out what is worth pursuing and what isnt.

As it becomes clearer, you should start serious discussions on a topic by topic basis in the second section of the forum.  Create a thread for each topic , assign someone in the group that owns the responsibility for delivering and moderating that topic, and then carry out the experiments or work that you have to do within that topic.

Eventually you will know where that topic is headed and you then start a final draft thread in the third section - this is where the topic owner will pull everything together.  Topics in here shouldn't be commented on by others, keep those discussions in the middle area.  Eventually you will have a completed strategy that you can release to the group.

You are all adults, so please, no in-fighting.  It may take a while for the group dynamics to settle down and providing noone spits out the dummy, time will gel you into a team

If I can be of help at anytime just hit me up - enjoy the process
