When posting on commenting on other facebook pages or groups make sure they don't look like they are a competitor and if they are a competitors you could then contact their likers (but be aware one of them is likely to be the business of the owner of the other directory

Other pages - Wedding Find It Buy It is a great page but I think they are getting fed up with us using them to point people to our sites (as I've been blocked!) so be wary about what you post and be prepared others may choose to block you. What you could do is look for posts that mention your area and then work through all the businesses that have responded and invite them over to take a look at your page (again be prepared that some might be admin for the other pages)

Groups - You can only join groups from a personal profile (which is why it can help to have a separate business profile). There are lots of groups for each area and they can be found by search in facebook eg 'Essex wedding' then click 'see more' at the bottom of the list and on the left of the page you can choose to see groups only. From here you can ask to join groups or see those that are open to anyone. Check the 'group rules' to see whether you can post businesses on there and it will also give you an idea if they also have a directory so are a competitor. Once you have joined the groups you can post a message re the site ..... if its a supplier group then aim it at suppliers joining, if its a bride group (even if has lots of supplier posts) aim it at brides eg 'are you looking for a local wedding supplier? We have a website www.xxxxx.co.uk where you can find some of the best local suppliers and each listing highlights the areas of our county they cover to help you find those nearerst to your home or venue'
