 OFFLINE | Good Morning all!
Tuesday already?
I talked to Amy last night...she is super busy at work and worked late last night. Never seen a more dedicated person than her! We always talk when the Bachelor is on! LOL
Man...on the way to work this Morning...there was some crap on the Freeway...I had NO choice but to run over it...cars in both lanes next to me....THUD! I may need new tires after that one! Thank God I didn't hit another car tho...
Hope everyone has a Great Tuesday! |

 OFFLINE | Morning everyone!
Susan, so glad things went well..... you are a beautiful amazing woman, I'm proud to call you my friend and I know many others are too! So glad to see you smiling!
Morning Sylvia! and big hugs to you! Sorry about Iris..... it's hard when are kids move out, ezpecially if we aren't happy with the circumstances! Hope things work out!
Cindy! (Grace to me! lol)More snow! You guys sure are getting slammed.... and we hardly have anything! The snow we got at the cabin is sticking though.... about a foot and nothing has melted.... yet! It's beautiful!
Barb.... hope your uncle is better today.... and hope you don't need new tires! I rarely have traffic problems.... only when I got to Reno... or one of my road trips!
One of my friends called last night.... she's going to Hilo, Hawaii for two weeks and asked me to go along. Renting a house.... oh man. It sounds so good! And warm!!!! In th eold days (the single days!) I would have jumped at it. Maybe for a week.... but two? Don't think the hubby would be happy.
*sigh*
So I guess I'm staying in freezing central Nevada with my hubby,
There are worse things!
Have a great day y'all! |

Barb, my prayers continue for your uncle. I hope your Mom comes down to help you now.
Jann, good luck with Ralph's appointment and have fun at the party.
Susan, we knew you'd win them over. They didn't stand a chance!
Not going into specifics but today my youngest is moving out and it makes me sad that she is but this is something she needs to do.
Just the idea of staying in this apartment alone hits home that I'm really alone now.

Sylvia.. how cool is it.. We will be sharing yet another storm!!! I am sooo not looking forward to the drive into work in the morning.. Stay warm my friend.. and.. you will learn to embrace the solitude in your apt. Just in time for one of the girls to move back in..and reclaim the peace and quiet from you... Be strong hun.. the time apart will make your mother/daughter bond that much stronger. {{Sylvia}} Hugs to you hun!!
Hoping everyone else had a splendid day..Barb..hope your Uncle is doing better. Jann..thinking of the storm we have coming over the next 2 days... HI is sounding mighty fine right now...Susan..you lil dancer you!!! Go get em girl!! have a blast ..you deserve it... and to everyone else..If I dont get in here in the morning..I hope you all have a super hump day!!! |

 OFFLINE | Morning!
A quick check in today! Driving the husband to a doctor appt this morning. He's been having abdominal pain for about a week, so they're doing an ultrasound. His doc told him yesterday it's time to start up the insulin shots, even though she still considers him type 2 diabetes. His sugar is high, and *sigh* it's his own fault. The man is a coca-cola-holic!! GRrrr! I think reality is finally hitting him. One can only hope!
Two weeks ago, our mini storage called us to say there had been a break in, & wouldn't you know...it was our travel trailer! The thiev'in thieves broke into our trailer and ransacked everything Cosmetic damage was fairly minimal, yet needs repair. They took propane tanks, batteries, dishes, tv, all the blankets and pillows, etc. etc. So anyway...our trailer is in the shop getting repaired, and it looks like we will have to restock it all out of pocket because "personal items" are covered under homeoweners insurance(not rv insurance), and our deductible is $3000. Yuck. *the mini storage doesn't seem to be compensating us in any way*.
OK! Enough griping for one day! lol SO I've been teaching myself to bake bread! I've dabbled before, but now I'm getting busy! White bread & dinner rolls last week, and whole wheat bread last night. It came out GOOD! Trying really hard to get more fiber in my families diet.
Happy Hump Day Everyone! For those of you who have snow and enjoy it, I hope you get plenty! For the ones who have too much...hang in there!!!

Many, many people don't know much about Nevada! we are so much more than Las Vegas (and FYI, Las Vegas had snow last week!) Our cabin sits at 7400 feet. Ralph's house is much lower (4500 ft) but gets just as cold (colder really) and snow. And of course, the Reno-Tahoe area always gets snow. And Tahoe has great skiing!!
Barb, hoping your work orders pick up soon! Don't mention income taxes! Ugh!!!! I always have to pay more, and now that we're married we'll take that marriage hit. NOT looking forward to taxes either! |

(((((Donna))))).... having gone through the theft of my truck last year I know what you're going through! Pisses me off what the insurance companies DON'T cover. Oh well. Seem s like the storage place should be liable for SOMETHING!! And hope things turn around for the hubby. Does he still have his gall bladder? I've heard that drinking lots of soda builds gall stones. Good luck at the doc.... today must be doc day all around. Ralph and I are both going and a few friends of mine are visiting docs today. Too bad we all don't live close, we could do lunch!! |

 OFFLINE | Good morning everyone!
It's Thursday and it's a bitterly cold start to the day. No snow today (thank God) but dealing with icy conditions now which I think is much worse.
Thank you ladies for the support and advice. I"m starting to get used to it but it sure is eerily quiet now when I come home and this weekend will be the first time I go food shopping for just me. It's an adjustment but I'll be fine.
Donna, wow so sorry to hear about the breaking in and I pray your husband gets to the root of what's ailing him. I wish him good luck.
Becky, sorry to hear you've had a bit of a complication but thank God you've got Bryan and your son there to take care of you. You're truly blessed. Rest well and just take it easy. ((hugs))
Oh and by the way Susan, no one is sick of hearing about your new guy. I believe we're all so happy that you've found someone special and all we hope is that he's the real deal. Too many fakes out there, you know? I've been burned enough to know this.
I hope everyone has a good day today!
Take care! |

OFFLINE | Morning everyone. Off to Belmont!!!
My son told me he got questioned by the FBI.... he lives next door to the young girl thats missing in Colorado City, Texas. Scary to think his neighbors were even creepier than we thought! For those who think bad things only happen in big cities, think again. I think the population in Colorado City is about 5000!
Well, gotta get going. Have a good day y'all. |
