Morning everyone!



so excited to see Cindy here!!!

Ralph and I talked about going to Belmont for New Years.... I was hoping, but he didn't want to push his back. Some friends called and invited us to their annual garbage can (whiskey sours) party..... but he said no. Then we found out that the county commisioners are having a meeting Monday morning regarding the roads in Belmont (the forest service wants to close them, the county may decide to take the issue to court). It's an important issue for us.... if the roads are closed we will lose access to our home! So, I told him I want to go to the meeting, and guess what... we're going up tomorrow so we can go to the party and staying til Monday so we can go to the meeting!! It's not Belmont, but at least we're going somewhere!!



Hope everyone accomplished all that they wanted to in 2010.... a decade in this century- amazing!!!

Happy TGIF!! and last day of 2010....WOW WHAT a YEAR!.....

Jann I'm glad to read Ralph is doing well...

well...had a really hard day yesterday...I know a lot of you remember the story about my son Tyler and his first boxer that we had to put down due to distemper a year/half ago.  Then my Daddy got him the new puppy to help him heal...the pictures we posted in the old group on MS....were just priceless...I don't have any to share...not on that computer.

When we were in OK last week Tyler had Jake out in my Daddy's pasture letting him run around and he ran toward the horses and unfortunately got tangled up and one of the horses stepped on his head...and broke his jaw...

He was in surgery yesterday to repair it and when he was coming out of surgery had a blood clot and died.... ; /  My poor son is just beside himself because he is blaming himself...I'm just at a loss on this one....

On a lighter note...I'm SO thrilled we have OUR group back and so many new members and regular members coming in!!  I had really missed all of this and talking to everyone!

Have a nice quiet evening planned this evening with my guy...steaks on the grill and we are inviting another couple over...

My life has changed so much this year...and I'm in such a GREAT place and look forward to sharing it in 2011...

We'll me too...we had a mishap yesterday...I guess 2010 is going out with a bang!

Jason (son) and his friend came over to my house yesterday to put our Christmas Tree in the street for us...Well, he had to move the Van back alittle so he got into the Van, didn't get all the way in...hit the gas by mistake, Jason flew into the street and the Van took off down the street and hit our neighbors house.  Due to their really sloped drive-way...there was NO damage to their house...and Thank God they were away for the Holidays...cuz no cars were in the drive-way...Jason is pretty bruised up from the fall but will be OK!

Thank God...cuz this really could of turned out a tragedy!  God was definitely on our side!!!!!

I think I'll stay home tonight...where it's safe!

So glad Jason is ok!!! When we moved to our home in Valencia (on top of a hill!) we had a moving van with faulty brakes- of course we didn't know! Went out for pizza, when we cam home the moving van was IN our neighbor's garage. His tree was gone too.... what a welcome to the neighborhood!! He got home a few minutes later.... in his shiny black corvette.... oh man.... it took awhile befor we could all laugh about it. No one got hurt, the moving van company had to pay all the damages..... do you know how much it costs to replace a mature tree???? lol

OMG Barbara I can't believe what happened to Jason and I'm SO glad everything turned out OK...I know your heart had to literally stop and everything went into slow motion for a second....

Had a wonderful evening last night with Mark...we invited another couple over for dinner...lo-key hanging with them and Mark's daughter.  Grilled steaks...stayed up WAY too late...so recovering from that....

Tonight ...dancing    just so happy right now can't contain it...haha!

Hope everyone had a safe, wonderful NY's Eve...have a blessed 2011...looking forward to a much better year!

Morning everyone!

Our evening was pretty much like yours Susan.... except there was no other couple!

This morning things got off to a rough start.... but everything is OK now. Communication- is SO important!! I tend to hold things in.... not a good thing!!! But all is better now!

My son starts is new job tomorrow....in the meat department at HEB (supermarket associated with the Safeway chain)

It's been snowing all morning, and we've got a 3 hour drive ahead of us.... probably take a little longer today cuz we'll be going slooooooooooooooooow!

Ralph is actually much better at communicating then me..... in the past when I've spoken my feelings I've (literally) been beaten and berated.... and with Sam , well he kind os sensed me (that's how soul mates work).... anyhow communication wasn't a problem..... but I find myself sinking back into old habits.... not sure why..... maybe because Ralph is so masculine.....

but anyhow, things are good now.... and now that I know I can let him know how I feel..... I'll be talking a little more!

That's so wild...same thing here...I was put down and made to feel very foolish...so I shut down and just quit...Mark is an excellent communicator...and has literally made me start up again....it's really been refreshing.  He actually told me that if we didn't communicate that would be a problem...LOL  I liked that.  and yes...same here...he is very masculine as well...BUT knows how to treat me the right way..and I like that too...total opposite of what I had...

I'm so happy for you girl...things will and are great!

Good Morning all!

Well...it's Sunday...last day of a 3-day weekend for me....Then it's back to work forever!  Bob and I don't take vacations...hard when you run your own Business and things aren't doing to well...so you really can't leave!

No plans for today....grocery store and clean up the house alittle.  Tree down and everything put away for another year!

Hope everyone had a Great New Years...lets hope 2011 will be good for all of us!

Good morning my friends!

Okay, I'm liking this forum already.  Little by little we'll get this back like Myspace had it though I still miss the Myspace group VERY much!!

I had a quiet New Year's as well.  Just went to dinner with my friend then came home to watch TV and waited until midnight for my girls to call me then went to sleep.

Don't know if you know we had a helluva blizzard just after Christmas and the city is still dealing with issues of every kind.  Ugh.....

Today I will be spending the day cleaning too and if time allows I'll try and get back in here too and catch up with you guys.

I've really missed you all.

Had a fun night dancing last night...still trying to learn how to do this CW dancing...but I LOVE it...and who wouldn't dancing with the guy you are crazy about?  LOL...

Today Mark and I are taking his daughter shopping and just running around and most likely tonight is jogging/(bike riding for me....)...can you guys tell I'm loving life?  

Hope 2011 has started off just fantastic for everyone...and this week has as well!

Wow Susan, glad to hear you're happy and I knew it wouldn't be long before you found someone special.  With your good looks and loving personality no guy could stand a chance!

Go slow though because it's too easy to fall into old habits after being in a very long relationship.  One day at a time.....
