Happy Hump Day everyone...Looks like the weather is going to break from the snow and freezing rain of yesterday, at some point today.  Then its going to be brutally bitter cold, then turn back to more snow for the weekend...  I have driven in more crappy weather the past 3 weeks, than any full season I think.. ughh..

Good Morning all!

Busy day yesterday, had to take my Uncle to the doctor...the fluid in his Lung has returned and they now think he's got Mesothelioma (cancer of the lining of the Lung.)
So we are off to see the surgeon on Friday to see what the options are..as his breathing is terrible.  Hmmmm, 85 years old...I don't know how well surgery will go???

Today, I'm off to see the doctor..just a check...but when am I gonna find time to get my work done?

Guess I'll have to stay late tomorrow night.

My neighbor came over last night...and informed me there has been 6 robberies in our neighborhood in the last 4 days.  One house right across the street from me!  We have a Dog...and she barks at strangers...anyone who passes the house really...so I hope this will keep these people away!

Afternoon everyone!

We're back at Ralph's place... just chillin and relaxing. He got the water going at my place.... yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Our weather is taking a turn, much cooler and very windy. Chance of snow tonight... but then it should get warmer again!

When I bought Ralph his Kindle I thought he might not like it and I would end up with it. I couldn't have been more wrong! I think he's on his 5th book. Think I'll buy one for myself. Running out of room to put my books, and I do love to read!

Just talked to my dad and he told me he is NO longer wearing glasses. First time in 72 years!!!! I can't wait to see him! I've never seen him without them!

Looks like we're going to take the boat to the lake and try some fishing! Woo hoo! I've never been fishing on a boat, I'm a shore girl!! Actually last year was the first lake fishing I've ever done... always creeks and streams and rivers.... anyhow I'm pretty excited!!!

Tonya, I'm with you girl on the weather issue.  So damn sick of this already with the snow every week now since Christmas.

Susan, wow they have to hold it at his family's place?  Yeah I can see that being awkward but you're right, that's YOUR daughter as well and tough if they don't like you being there.  How dare they treat you badly but then again as a Mom you can understand her taking his side.

Nothing new really on my end.  It's been over 1 week since Iris moved out with some of her stuff and I only got 1 text from her thanking me for sending her an email about a job fair.

She's even gone so far as to shut down her FB for the week but as of last night I saw she opened it again because she's on her sister's page and that's where I saw it.

It's been stressful at work lately with so many negative things occurring.   Gotta be something in the air because other people are dealing with issues at their work place too.

Can't wait for the weekend just to de-stress.

Well I guess I better end this now as I do have to get ready to head out.

Our next storm is tonight into all day tomorrow and then really bitter cold temps for the next few days.

Think we're going to get the boat and trailer licensed today.... Ralph hasn't used it since his shoulder surgery two years ago. We checked out my waders yesterday and he bought me some new long underwear..... SEXY!!!!  lol

Good evening all -- man... crazy day..... but thankfully, it seems to have calmed down.  This afternoon started "cat sitting" for the neighbor's two cats.  She called last night quite upset...her one cat (they're siblings) kidney's were failing...and she had gone to the vet to get some fluids into her.  Well overnight...she passed away....and although she was upset that she lost her cat...I think she was relieved...because she goes away through Monday night...and would have worried horribly the whole time.  We're just giving some extra attention to the remaining cat...who seems sort of sad and depressed.  Hopefully, he'll get better.

Susan....wow I can't believe that your daughter is due that soon!!!  Has Lauren felt good through the pregnancy?  Yes...I agree with you -- people should just mind their own business and enjoy the day for your daughter.  I give you a lot of credit for going...I know it'll be tough for you -- but be the bigger person..and don't let them "pull you" into their drama.  Remember....you're now happier than you've ever been...and if that upsets them...well they should look at David and see why he was UNABLE to make you this happy!!!  I'll keep you in my prayers for that day...that all goes well!

Jann....I thought there was a "recipe" thread?  Sounds like Ralph is really enjoying his Kindle...I've heard from more than one person that they LOVE theirs....so I'm g uessing that you getting one will be great for you!!!

Sylvia....I know how hurt you must be that Iris isn't contacting you at all -- remember, it's probably just hitting her now that you are giving her the "tough love" that she needs.  Some day she'll look back and appreciate how much you loved her....that you made her get out on her own and do something.  I'll keep both of you in my prayers.   Please don't make me travel down to NYC....cause it's cold and you have snow -- !!!

Barbara...difficult times always brings out the worst in people.  Sorry to hear about the break-ins in your neighborhood....that has to be fairly scary for all of you.  It helps that you have a dog...they can be a strong deterrent to the crime...which is good!  Do you have a neighborhood watch at all????  I know our neighborhood does....and a couple years ago....they caught a burglar three or four roads over...thanks to the extra "eyes" that were watching...and someone calling the cops.
