Looks as if Plt. 2166 is about to emabark on some awesome adventures per Marquis' letter!!!!! As the platoon starts to come together a little bit more every day, they are preparing for Initial Drill this Saturday and they are pumped....They have been motivated by their DI's who say that they think Plt. 2166 can WIN THIS!!!!!!!!! Of course each platoon wants to win as many competitions and trophies as possible as this is what helps get them to be the Honor Platoon by the time graduation comes around!!!!!!!! So I am rooting for my son Marquis and Aaron and Steven and the rest of Plt. 2166 to SMASH (as my son would say) .......From what I have been told thus far by Marquis this platoon is doing very well in competing against other platoons.....they smashed in Drill Battle against another Platoon in their same company.......so much so that 7 of the other platoons recruits got IT'd!!!!!!! Whooopsss......   HELL YEA!!!!!!! Way to WORK Plt. 2166!!!!!!
1 more week and they are off to CP...which Marquis is looking forward too!!! I think they will be there for about 3 weeks then back to MCRD.......I hope they will all excell and really become united as a platoon!!!!!!! Teamwork is KEY!!!!!! I am so proud of all of Plt. 2166....Keep digging everyone......Your almost into week 5 of 13 Weeks........tick tock......Until we meet again!!! Oooorrahh Plt. 2166

YES, YES, YES! Good luck PLT 2166 on Initial Drill this Sat! So glad to hear they are kicking butt as a unit. Our guys are Awesome!!! Aaron too did well on O'Course, but still working on tapping the top of that rope! Aaron is still holding on to 4th Squad Leader and PRAC recruit and he says his responsibilities keeps him busy. Arpyl, Aaron did the same thing as Marquis, referring to writing before class starts! He had to write Meg 1 letter on 2 separate days b/c he ran out of free time! She got it today and wrote that he is now writing ours. I'm sending him a letter out tomorrow to see what nickname he was given. I'm thinking something like BigTex!   Hope everyone is getting some good news from their loved one. Just about half way there! Ooh rah Plt 2166!!!

@ Brenda...."Big Tex".....really?????? In a DI's eyes that is not degrading enough.............we could only hope that it would be as pleasant a nickname as that!!!!!! Well at least you have heard about the O'Course...as I have not heard about that one yet at all....How crazy that Aaron is PRAT Recruit too.......Marquis was and I am not sure if he still is or not......He had the 3 jobs....House Mouse, Prat Recruit and Warbag Recruit.......I know for sure he is still House Mouse and thanked me so kindly for teaching him how to clean!!!!! LOL...(That was a few letters back though) I hope that you get your letter soon and you get all kinds of GREAT INFO!!!!!!!!! I love putting all the pieces together....it is something that is fun and takes my mind off the fact that he is not home with us.....and I look forward to hearing what Aaron has to say as well as Marquis and hopefully Steven at some point as well.....KICK BUTT this Weekend Plt. 2166........You can DO IT!!!!!!!
