Either A) I cannot figure out how to get GIF files to display properly on FB, or B) they are not supported....

I have soooo many good GIF's and emoticons that id love to use - as either my profile pic, or to express myself in conversations... but sadly i cannot..

Help anyone ?   I didnt see another thread with same topic, so hope this hasnt been asked and answered...

Art, I am assuming you had uploaded animated gifs to your Facebook profile just to find yourself disappointed (like the rest of us) that they no longer made you smile as a funny, moving picture that would amaze all, but were reduced to a silly frozen picture. Facebook decided along time ago we didn't need animated gifs in our photo albums to have fun. It is not you, they are unsupported, but hopefully, with enough demand, that will change.

Thanks Cari...   I kind of figured that was the case...    just so disapointing !!    I have a photobucket account chock full of really cool/funny gif's and emoticons...      
Just yesterday I wanted to use this SOOOO bad in a politically charged debate that was going nowhere....


but alas the guy's arm was just stuck up in the air....  it just doesnt have the same feeling when its static....

Thank you! I like those, and damn I feel your pain. I HATE being in a forum, having the most opportune time to smack down a gif and epically fail (MySpace), and the beating a dead horse gif, well let's just say I can appreciate you using that one One of these days I should make a photobucket, but for now I  save the animated ones to my MySpace.
