Hii Folks

Who do you think will be the Future Hip Hop? Lets discuss!

For now,
I think J Cole & Lupe Fiasco.

I really like J.Cole. He knows how to convey a message. He knows how to make music for the struggler's  but also music that makes people think, music that the educated mind can engage with. This song deals with his inner struggle between having sex to have sex or making a connection (a deeper, intellectual connection) with a woman. Its interesting though because he turns the table and makes the woman the sex fiend instead of himself (though he doesn't exactly resist). So a descent style with simple attraction seeking beats and a precisely accurate vocab flowing with dope lines will rule the thrown!

Lupe
Rappers that glamorize gun play usually haven't been a victim of it, but I will say that rap and especially 'gangsta rap' has shed light on many of our children's hopes, wishes, fears, & horrors that middle and upper middle class Americans didn't believe were even possible let alone evident until they started hitting the news. That's the positive, the negative is what's evident and obvious about 'gangsta rap', its influence over young minds looking to connect with something or someone. but LUPE SPITS about the life he grew up (like we all should) and put the foolishness of his youth behind him. Real talk. He speaks of progression and not regression which most people don't understand that's why whack's question his "street cred.".. Definitely he is the future!

Brits would do well to drop that gay accent of theirs....or no one's gonna care fo a listen. Lyrically, they're deadly.

@infinitz
See rap is all about lyrics & flow...since americans were the first who marketed rap into mainstream music though it was never originated there..they've been makin rap fo a long time now...n we are used to that accent...well i think...accent doesnt matter as long as it is understandable & does justice with real rap music

Ps-rap was originally invented by africans which went to usa by their immigrants...actually rap was in the culture of every eastern nation...freestyle rappin had its own name in every nation...take look at torja in bengal..its completely freestyle rappin but was ignored..never came in limelight...n theirs qawali amongst muslim....some qawalis are performed off the tomb too...every 'eastern' nation had its rap form
So stop dickridin americans wen it comes to rap n poetry...we are better poets...NOT MEANT FOR INFINITZ
For all whos checkin this...some info from my side...do correct me if am wrong

Lupe is clever n hoodrich... hes just goin where hiphop typically takes them..

Joe Buddens, Lupe Fiascos n J Coles are too serious n old skool about their work. they will always prefer livin in shadows. only intense hiphop fans (which are VERY few) wud listen to such artists..

future is never comin to hip hop as long as they keep makin same old tunes.

Kanye is the only futuristic artist i see right now, look at... hes gone all cuckoo... breakin all limits of hip hop. Thats future to me.
