 OFFLINE | A blond woman resembling missing California mom Sherri Papini was spotted looking ‘scared’ inside a dark pick-up while with two men at a truck stop - just two days before Papini was dumped on a freeway after three weeks in captivity.
Witness Christine Everson feared for the woman’s safety after seeing her at the Travel Center stop on the outskirts of Redding, California at around 7pm on Tuesday last week.
Everson attempted to communicate with the woman, who was sitting in the truck and seemed ‘subdued’, ‘extremely hesitant’ and ‘scared’, and called 911 to report the sighting.
It’s not clear whether police acted on her tip and Christine concedes she can’t be 100% certain it was Sherri.
If it was Sherri, she would have only been 15 minutes away from her family home at the time of the sighting.
